No.

Fev beat us fair and square and put in a commendable performance tonight. But it's much easier to psych yourself up in a sense for one-off games than to remain consistent on a weekly basis.

See Widnes v Saints as an example. They knew they only had one opportunity so bust a gut to get it back to 38-40. Week after they were trounced.

Well lets face it, the week before fev played cas, they got whipped 60-40 by sheffield, the week after, they played swinton, who are champ 1 standard, it took a last minute try to beat them. Well played fev, you've had your 15 minutes of fame this season and maintained the magic of the cup. Make no mistake though, if fev were in super league, they'd be no better then what the worst sides offer, bar perhaps Widnes.

Yes we have had a couple of bad games against Sheffield and Swinton. Both coming the week before big Challenge
Cup Matches.

lets forget the fact the we have only previously lost about 3 games in the past 2 years. One of them being against St Helens last year when Powell rested most of the first team.

You best get them weeds dug up and get a new ground planted soon or you'll find out if we can handle super league - at your expense

Feel dirty for this but have to agree with Tigers on this that Fev can scalp a few on the day but to play to that Standard week after week is a totally different thing. An amateur team called Sharlston are not to disimilar in that they can beat any team on the day if went into conference league they would struggle.

And I hate to say it too but we and cas are suposed to be full time pros, fev are part time on that basis if fev were a pro team they would be more consistent.

Let's face it they are a very good club on and off the field.

Unfortunatley or fortunatley which side of the fence you are on. featherstone have no chance of ever gaining super league status. The RFL would like to get rid of cas or wakey , for expansion purposes, so they would not replace them with featherstone from the same area. I am afraid Fev will always be a championship side. They do not fulfill all the requirements for SL. their attendances are very poor, their income is well short of requirements, they do not have any juniors who are being given a chance to play first team rugby. Last night how many came through the junior ranks at featherstone. Sam Smeaton, thats about it.

Zak Hardaker, oh no sorry. he wasn't playing he signed for Leeds and now plays for England.

Our scholarship scheme is the third best in rugby league behind leeds and wigan.

Dont kid yourselves that the RL wont replace Cas with Fev. They wont make the Widnes mistake again and expansion has mainly failed.

I think D Powell being at Fev will also help, they wont have the future England coach managing in the championship and I cant see him leaving Fev any time soon

I'm sure there is some I have missed, and I hope these are right, but our youth system is a real strength of the club.

4165 v Cas, 4082 v Wigan, you will never see SL if that is all you can muster for the 2 biggest games you've had in years and no doubt 90% of them will crawl back into their holes and you'll have another crowd of 795 v Hunslet OB. You are being used as a vehicle to promote Probiz, wake up and smell the coffee Fev you're being had for mugs on the back of empty promises.

Its actually quite funny now I can fair feel the pain coming from some of the cas fans on here. Not all by the way some have had the sportsmanship to congratulate Fev.

Big Man and all the Fev haters on here,the day is fast approaching where the RFL have to abandon this current system in SL and sure as night follows day some of the daft criteria will go as well.

What showed again last night as it did against you lot in front of a sky audience is that the gulf between so called part timers and the elite is more of an urban myth.

What it also shows is that the product is also more important than how many fans you get through the gates..its called "Super League Rugby" not how many fans do you have.

Now I am a realist and have over the years had differing views on merger and I know this will not be popular with some fev fans and wakey fans but here goes.

If the day ever comes when it is decided that we are to merge then the only team I would consider supporting would be a wakey-Fev option.

Why Wakey ? well to me in Wakey I see a club not dissimilar to our own in its approach to things on and off the field at this present time.

In cas I see a club full of arrogance who believe because they are in SL they are something special,well have a sniff at that coffee Bigman and others. I would suggest you look at your other forum. Your fans are not happy,sponsors walking away from the club,CEO mrs slagging off sponsors,allegedly according to your cas forum members and so the cas tragedy goes on.

So anytime you want bringing back down to earth,come over to POR and we will serve you up a big mug of that coffee again like we did in front of the cameras tuther week

Not many people (a part from maybe Fully) thinks everything is rosie at Cas right now. However, losing against a Championship club, does not mean we are now no longer SL Standard. Cushler, you used examples of us getting thrashed by Wire & Wigan, so what, most teams will suffer thrashings from time to time. Not one of our sponsors has walked away (Probiz still sponsor us). People are frustrated with the lack of a new ground (myself included) but we can't financially ruin ourselves ala Crusaders, Wakefield, Bradford, (salford having financial worries).

Towns88 I only know what I read on the cas forum,to be fair I don't really give a toss,but when "some" cas fans still insist on the we deserve to be in SL because we have more fans approach then that day will be short lived because until you provide a product worth paying to see people will walk away.

Oh yeah definitely. Our crowds will die off towards the end of the season, because there will be mathematically bugger all to play for by August (imo). But that will be the case for 5 other teams in the league. I remember a season not too long ago when there was everything to play for until the final minutes. So even when was getting served up, fans would still turn up as there was an element of excitement & drama to play for. Get what I'm hinting at?

From a Cas perspective, we've had it tough this year, for the 3/4 week Basil was off, we were dreadful. We've been very inconsistent. I genuinely think next year will see an improvement with some big earners & small contributors coming off contract. Just remember, it was only last season were were a whisker from wembley.
