Sorry, I'd not had the best day yesterday (rugby aside), we get so many people on here telling us who we have signed or who has signed our best players. 99.9% of it is BS. I assumed this was more of the same! Appologies again (if it is indeed true).

If true, how do Hull fans rate him?
I remember hearing big things about him but haven't seen anything really from Hull fans

Honestly looks pretty average, can kick well at times, but the rest of his game needs a lot of improvement to make a decent SL player. However the same could have been said about Brough when he was at Hull.

If he is pretty average, he will fit in quite well! Basil got a lot out of him at Leigh in the championship but remains to be seen. No official confirmation on the move so will have to wait and see if he is definitely ours.

When Grimmer went back to Hunslet, we went for Kyle Briggs back. Jamie Ellis would have been our next option if we couldn't have secured Kyle's services.

Would rather have Ryan Brierly back from Leigh, or Ben Johnston given a run 1st. Taking cast offs from other clubs before we give our own lads a look in first is so depressing

I can't understand why you have not pulled Brierly back, the Leigh fans rate him very highly and clips that I have seen have been impressive.

Brierley is a season loan not a DC and I would not be suprised if he is at Leigh next season as a contracted player - don't forget he was on Leighs scholarship prior to being told we couldn't run one anymore.

Ellis is about 21 and former Saint who went off the rails, Basil got a great year out of him last season.

I would, he's rated by everyone at the club and has been for some time now, and they know there will be a fan backlash if he isn't extended

Brierley will replace Danny Orr, not Jamie Ellis.

He might be, but the club will be talking to him soon, if not already about extending it.

I'm not sure on Brierley. Never excelled in friendlies and U20s is a different kettle of fish to Super League. He's playing well at Championship level but then some do and fail to make the grade in the first team.

Out of the two I've seen so far in a Cas shirt Johnston impressed me more and with Snellgrove coming through too, I wonder if it's necessary.

He doesn't seem to be rated highly.
Never got a first team game from Matterson and hasn't had one from Millward either. Especially looking at how well he is doing for Leigh and how much of that flair we are currently in need of!

Why don't we send him to Huddersfield to play with the other one that we thought had no potential!!

Well as we all know, young lads all develop at different paces. I hope for you that Milward is keeping a close eye on Brierley's performances.

That link was way back in jan, Ryan was changed to season long loan around 4 weeks ago but don't know if there is a recall clause, although would be surprised if there was.

Matterson didn't rate him but the likes of Thornton did which probably helped with him getting a new contract. Millward rates him too but with him being at Leigh for the year getting experience....and if this season long loan has no recall (daft move if there isn't) then that could explain why he isn't in the first team...when quite clearly he should be.

Jamie Ellis is a fantastic player as you will find out if you sign him for next season.

Re Ryan he is wonderfull in the Championship coming on as a strike player but if he was in your team this season I think he would be targetted by big fast running forwards .

Basil knows what he is doing' as you will find out after this season 'when he selects your squad.

Best coach we have ever had at Leigh'well at least in my 56 seasons of watching Leigh.
