I am not predicting anything.

I think we will get the season off to a flyer with a 36 - 20 win.

Either that or we will be 'done over' by a decision from the Video Ref, the likes of which Rugby League has never before seen!!

I'm just hoping for a thriller …

I would like to know what the line ups will be before making any predictions (and even then i will be wrong!) but as i understand it wakey only have two props (king, korki) with two second rows filling in from the bench (johnson, henderson) and one of those hasnt played sl yet. I hope tm exploits this and plays a powerful pack. I would have the forwards something like this

At the end of the day I will be either sick as a parrot or over the moon, after all it's a game of two halves and anything can happen. The main thing to remember is that the children are our future.

It's a game that all teams will want to win as you won't want to be going out round Cardiff afterwards on the back of a loss, would put a real downer on the evening.

just hope we can win,on paper we should but games arnt played on paper and kear will have them fired up if we can match their effort then we will win.

any of the players that played the last time we were at mm against wakey should have plenty of motivation to do the job.

I'm not predicting this one. Because whatever I put, I'll probably look like a total knob in two weeks.

This has Wakey win written all over it, on paper we're stronger, we are better prepared, better players in the main down to recruitment restrictions for Wakey, so it is nailed on.

We start slow, nervous, Wakey have nothing to lose and will play like that. We will be down at Half Time, panic football second half and go down fighting:

Not too sure. We should win and win easy enough but we all know what wakey are like. I will be gutted if we lose. Really gutted.

I don't want a close game. Just a routine win. 30-10 or something along them lines. We've got a far more talented squad and will definitely finish higher then them. Elements can't be an excuse as the roof will be shut. No excuses for this one. I've not been so desperate for us to win a game in a while. It might be the thought of wanting revenge I guess.

Would like to see it put to bed early doors and see the pack dominate allowing Rangi and Orr to run the game. 36-10

Johnson has been looking good at prop for wakey, Gledhill is another prop who played about 10 games last year, hes back in full contact but not sure if he'll be ready.

Cas are stronger on paper ( not by too much).

As a wakey fan im just hoping for a decent display and see a few good SL debuts for Vievers, Johnson, Howarth and co. Would be nice to nick a win but will require a big effort.

You must be afraid of tempting fate.
With only 2 props? a backs-against-the-wall attitude may keep Wakefield in the game for 20 mins or even the first half, but in the second half it should be fill your boots time for Cas with players lining up to score.
If you get less than 50 you should be disappointed against the current squad. Hopefully there will be some strengthening before the season is too old and we can get our revenge later, but for now.... not a chance.

Cas has a much stronger squad. We looked good against a very good Hull pack and Wakey isn't anything like it used to be. Danny Orr will have a massive effect on the game by simply freeing Rangi to do his thing. On a big wide pitch the Wakey defence won't be able to stop Chase from breaking the line.

Wakey on the other hand have had a miserable pre-season. Their first team got beaten by Huddersfield's under 20's. And reports are they were very poor at Bradford last week.

My prediction is that the Cas pack led by our big front row will grind down the Wakey pack. Orr will lead us round the park, Rangi will score a couple and Mathers will show the form from the CC Final last year - 42-16 Cas.

We should be aiming to spank them off the park, to be honest. We need to stick as many nails in their coffin as possible.

Hudds played us with 2 props last year and we took them to the cleaners so I will go with the same score as that.
