To be honest this is the first I've heard of it!!

And I sincerely hope that RW has spoken the truth about this, I hate it when clubs release statements like this only for the player to leave a few weeks later. We don't want to find ourselves without a half back just before the start of the season.

I like Hull, stadium and enjoy the fans experience and Rich A - but why don't they try a revolutionary tactic of finding or developing a player instead of buying something mature off someone else......

Obv - queue 100 lists of Hull born players, but their marquee and key signings in the last few seasons haven't said a lot for the developing talent at FC have they? If I was a half or a in the back three in the academy at Hull, I would be feeling pretty hard done by.

I'm liking this new 'stand up and do something' approach from the club these days, as opposed to the old 'sit back and do nowt' approach that we're used to.

Go to the Hull board, they seem to think Hull DID approach Cas...and Cas only wanted the same amount they got for Westerman

how much did Myler cost? 175? Chase is double that at the very least

I really don't think Hull will go away knowing full well we have glasshoughton as a priority.

Still if he did go it would then be Agar's headache keeping Team Westy-Chase on the straight and narrow

We have no reason to sell Chase. It would take an offer of a ridiculous magnitude for us to consider it. Glasshoughton has been fully costed and the funding package is in place.

Westerman cost £125,000, i think it would be an extra £50,000 for Chase.

I wouldn't always believe what you're told by Chief Exec's as they just say anything to calm the fans. I know we've made enquiries about, R.Chase, J.Sammut, R.Myler and another who's name hasn't come to light yet. So despite what Crusaders, Wire and Cas say, they have had contact from FC. Not alot, but some contact.

In this case, i think Cas fans can sleep easy, as our number one HB target is J.Sammut. And i wouldn't be suprised to see him in the FC 20 Shirt this season.

I think it's good news that RW has come out and nipped these rumours in the bud, this is obviously aback handed attempt from Hull FC to get Sammut for less than the market price, by falsely putting other players into the frame.
Crusaders (or whatever they are called these days) being cash strapped, are made to think Hull have gone off the boil by not increasing their initial bid for Sammut, so they will no doubt be more willing to snap Hull's hands off.
As we all know, every player has his price, but I can't see Hull being able to come up with enough to tempt Cas into letting Rangi go, I don't for one minute think the figures being banded about by FC supporters comes close, we don't need or want to sell him and thankfully he still has another couple of years on his contract.
I expect to see Sammut in Hull colours before the season starts.

I think if we are honest , we all know that if FC put up enough cash rangi will be on his way. Just like joe.

That would depend on how much cash selling your star half back and pivot for the team would be, not forgetting as mentioned the time left on his contract.

The moment it is not a question of 'IF' but 'HOW MUCH' then we might as well drop a division and become a feeder club.
Well done RW for knocking the rumour back, tell Hull to find a different trough.

If Chase was to go then that would a kick in the nuts to us.
