| bonjour castleford fans,
now, cas were known to be very creative past few years, BUT.
now with shenton and westerman gone, who will fill the void?
the only player who IMO has a creative spark is chase, but he cant do it by himself......
where do you think you will finish in 2011 and do you think you be as good without shenton and westerman?

| Ha Ha that's so funny from a bradford fan. Last year you spent most your money on one player (orford) and got jack all from the over paid aussie half back, for this season you have had a change of tactic and bought every average player going. which may well work out for you.
But as for your question Shenton and Westy are ok but don't make a team and neither was played creatively under Matterson so i don't think they will be missed and will not take the class out of Cas.
Offloading superstar Sherwin made Cas last year, it put the team on a level footing and the team spirit and commitment and class returned.

I think the sentiments are the same for any club, though. We have a massive fight ahead of us.

| No doubt, and a lot will come down to injuries (as usual), but we haven't changed a lot, have brought in some real quality, and our young squad is a year more experienced than last year.

| Most coaches will think one of the keys to beating us next season will be keeping Rangi quiet.
Wait until Milner comes off the bench

| Shentons strength was his fantastic defence.
Westerman was used as a tackling machine. Check the stats for the last 2 seasons. Neither of them produced the spark in attack. TBH with Orr back we will probably have more direction and hopefully score more points.

Now if were being Factual, Gaz Raynor is originally from That London but spent his teenage years living in Pontefract.
He played his Junior rugby at Cas Panthers in the same team as Jamie Benn and he wrote to Leeds to get a trial.
The rest is history!

Reckon you will find a lot of Cas people were born in Pontefract, but only because there's a maternity hospital there, it's a bit of a red herring when you hear someone like Tim Bresnan is Pontefract born, when he's spent all his life in Castleford (other than the first couple of days or so).

May I just point out a few things.
People aren't regularly born in Pontefract Town Hall. However, they are born in the Maternity Unit of Pontefract General Infirmary, which serves the town of Castleford as well.
Quote ="ritz":1tzipgnfThought pontefract had its own town hall and dewsbury..'" :1tzipgnf
Pontefract does not have its own Dewsbury. Indeed, Dewsbury is a town in its own right, situated 15-20 miles away.

They usually come to Cas by road or rail. Not many people tend to fly as the distance doesn't warrant that method of travel.

Depends what you mean. If you mean "Is Dewsbury not closer to Bradford :1tzipgnfTHAN:1tzipgnf it (Dewsbury) is to Cleckheaton?" the answer is yes. Dewsbury isn't closer to Bradford than Dewsbury is to Cleckheaton. Also, if you mean "Is Dewsbury not closer to Bradford :1tzipgnfTHAN:1tzipgnf it (Bradford) is to Cleckheaton?" the answer is still yes. Dewsbury isn't closer to Bradford than Bradford is to Cleckheaton. But you could also mean is Dewsbury closer to Cas than Cas is to Bradford :1tzipgnfTHEN:1tzipgnf that is Cleckheaton (from which I take you to mean a trip from Cas to Cleckheaton via Bradford). This time the answer is no. Dewsbury is much closer to Cas than Cas to Cleckheaton via Bradford. However, what relevance this has to a RL forum is unclear, and wouldn't you be better off using AA Milemaster?
Quote ="ritz":1tzipgnfcastleford is close to wakefield..'" :1tzipgnf
This is always a problem. If you live in Agbrigg, Sandal or Wrenthorpe then Castleford is a long way from Wakefield. However, if you live in Sydney, Australia, then Castleford is close to Wakefield. So I suppose you can please yourself on that one.
Quote ="ritz":1tzipgnfis anyone born in cas from wakey then???'" . Checking the meaning of the word "from" ( www.yourdictionary.com/from), you find it has many meanings, including: "at a place not near to; out of contact with: used to express absence, removal, separation, etc.," along with: "out of the possession or control of; free with respect to," and: "out of the whole of; out of unity or alliance with." So, using the word from in these respects, you are probably correct.
Incidentally, "ie." stands for "that is" whereas "eg." stands for "for example." It appears from your posts that you're confused about these two abbreviations.
I hope I've answered your points satisfactorily.
