there is going to be a protest outside the main stand (NEAR RESTAURANT AND TIGER BAR) tomorrow after the game v saints. So far we have 20 people and hope to have more people on board,. Chants at the board for Change and Terry Matterson out are the priority and banners are being made as i write this msg. Richard Wright and Jack Fulton will hear them as they attend the Restaurent/ area after all matches. This will be a peaceful protest but enough is enough and silence is not working! better than nothing. we are confident more people will join us as they see us.

Until you get a new ground and increase your supporter base what do you think having a go at the people who are trying to keep the club going will do.

You are a small club like us but without a sugar daddy. accept being a small club and build slowly. 3 years ago you were in division one now you are in SL.

Starting up unrest and all that goes with it may see you becoming candidates to lose a franchise next time around.

sorry but i cant go along with this, i know things are bad at the moment and i am as fed up as anyone but calling for TMs head is not the way to go at the moment in my oppinion anyway, i think with all the injurys we have and certain players who probbably wont be with us next season that dont seem too interested there is not a lot more he can do, i think come the end of the season matterson will be gone but my biggest worry is that we will get another inept coach. What you have to ask yourself is who will come to coach castleford when they see our current playing squad and the money we have available for signings. I dont know what the answer is at the moment but i dont think calling for TMs head is it.

I totally understand about Fulton and the board. By all means fill ya boots but Matterson??? Am I the only one who thinks he is getting poor treatment from everyone? he has had to do his best with signings with the little money which has been thrown his way. He got us into the play offs last year (winning more than we lost, when was the last time we did that in Superleague???) for the money he has been given he has made us into an ok team. Last season it was all "classy cas are back" from all the cas fans etc... but after a poor start to the season losing to Hull FC, Warrington, Wigan, Wakey, Bradford and Hull KR lets be realistic which games could we of won out of them? maybe Hull KR and Wakey, thats it. yeh the teams playing rugby but we have probably won games we expected to win or thereabouts anyway. I do not think Terry Matterson should get punished by the fans. The board are to blame for not putting any money into Cas and maybe the players for being lazy. Look after the wakey game, only a handful came to clap the fans. The players have no heart and look like they cant be d.

Happy clapper! Matterson is a WOEFUL coach, he is uninspired, has no control on discipline and doesn't give a crap that the players are out on the pi$$ the day of a crap performance. Look at Wakey, they don't have a team of stars and probably spend less on the cap, but Kear has the brain to know this and buys DEPTH not over rated crap Aussies then stick with them when it doesn't work, he can't get the team up for games and his half time team talks are pathetic, he should have gone 3 years ago nevermind now, it's too late.

As for the Steadman point, that doesn't help your case because if it wasn't for Matterson he would be the worst Cas coach in recent times.

Matterson was the one to get us back into superleague, Matterson was the one to get us into the play-offs. Over the last 3 year he has been a good coach. He having a poor season this year but why get rid after round 9? it will not help whatsoever. We aint gunna be playing superleague in 2 year because of the f'ing board not Matterson. He has been given F' all money wise to bring in decent players this year. Yes he may not be able to take us no further but to boo him after he got us back to play-offs last year etc... I think anyone who wants to needs to get a grip. He has done his job over the last few seasons so why send him away by booing him? Let him part company, we will clap him off because he has been a good coach and has done better than anyone else did since 2002. But to boo him away I think any cas fan who wants to do that needs to jog on because you are talking bull e!!!

I will fully back this pretest, Too long now we have gone on putting in passionless performances, We have a spinenless coach who shows no enthusiasm for the club and i think he has completely run out of ideas, And i am very sure he has lost the dressing room

Why should he be clapped off? lets look at what he's done...a NEGATIVE points difference across a 4 year span even though they finished the year in NL1 with +400! points difference, he's signed crap like McGoldrick & Sherwin, he falls out with at least one player every year, do you think a good SUPER LEAGUE level head coach should be doing all this? look at all the teams above Cas that aren't spending the full cap, what do they all have? A GOOD COACH.

Oh and yes, worst coach in recent memory, Dave Woods was FAR better, then there's Steadman & Mercer, who were a pair together. a good well trained beginner coach that knows what they're doing will do a good job, a well trained beginner coach who has a passion for the side he's coaching will do a great job, imagine a Cas team that played for the badge and could defend, that's a top 6 team even with the current squad.

I do think it maybe time for TM to go but not with everone on his back. He did what was hoped of him last year. I just think anyone who wants to boo him away should think again.

I wont be booing him and I hope others will not either. Matterson going will not change the clubs situation. No money, no ground. At this rate no superleague in 2 years.

Please think long and hard before going ahead with your protest, remember last year with a group gathering behind the main stand a great big fine followed from the RFL some of this fine has been suspended. I know that was for a different reason but lets face it any media that are at the game tomorrow will make any story up they won't let the truth get in the way. Then we will face another hearing at the RFL.

We don't need bad publicity how will this look to the RFL when considering franchise applications??????

I am as unhappy as anyone else but this is a bad idea, the area behind the stand has limited space and the RFL will say the club are not ensuring the safety of others......WE CANNOT AFFORD ANOTHER FINE - LET ALONE HAVING TO PAY THE SUSPENDED PART OF THE LAST ONE.

Matterson took us from the bottom of the barrell in NL to the Super League play offs. Its not gone great this year but we are still 10th in the comp, only ONE POINT behind triple champions Leeds Rhinos, and indeed two points from a play off place. Crowds are ok and people are working hard on the stadium project.

Its far from all bad. Im unhappy at the team at the moment but that doesnt mean Im going to chain myself to the shop and set fire to my Cas boxer shorts!!!!!

Get a grip, support the team and the club.

PS - Good point about the suspended fine too. Annoy the RFL at your peril for 2011. We need to emit positivity, nothing else.

so because the team are 1 point behind a team that had THIRTEEN injuries is a good thing? the fact the defence is as woeful as ever is a good thing? the fact the attack is clueless is a good thing? as for "bottom of the barrel in NL1" don't talk daft, the best team in the league by a country mile, a trained monkey could have coached the team to promotion, last year he had a squad good enough to finish higher then what the team did, he led the team to some embarrassing defeats as well, all is not well and the fact he didn't get fired at the end of his first season is totally baffling.

Just be careful. The RFL won't look on it kindly if it all kicks off again.

I'm all for fan power and believe if you want change you need to make yourselves heard, and fwiw i think your getting an awful deal from JF and RW, I've said for years you are being mislead, but please make your point in a way that protects the club and shows your unity.

Emphasize to the RFL the good things in your club; your support, your loyalty and your unity, even when dealt with difficulty and trying circumstances.
Don't give them ground to place the blame on you as fans, the club or anyone but those you deem responsible i.e JF and WR.

I have to say that as an outsider looking in, i think that some of you are getting a rather exagerated opinion of were you expect to be in the league.

Realistically your a recently promoted club, so should judge your results against the likes of Salford.

It takes time to build things, and Cas are a solid if unspectaclar outfit at this stage.
Matterson may be no world beater, but who else are you going to get?

As fans you need to think more long term. There are some decent young kids at Cas, but its going to take some time for enough quality to come through.

It doesn't bare thinking about really.
