Wish we had him at the moment to fill in for Shifty, but not sure about next season, I think there might be a better way to fill a quota place.

Then all I can say is that you've not seen him play this season,he really can make things happen and will be a great signing for you,don't know about the size of his contract so won't comment on that side of things.

doing a good job is one thing but at his age how many games his he going to play!! too much of a risk for me we should look at keeping our young players instead of taking this step back if true!

Brad Drew is the best player I have seen at Trinity in the SL era. Its the way he runs the game, he just understands what is required and puts it into action. His passing is just fantastic, his speed of thought is way ahead of those around him ( which can be a problem ). Do not worry about how much money he may be getting , he should be the best payed player at either Trinity or Cas. Put simply he wins games.

What is amazing to see is the way he makes a willing forward look like a world beater. If he has a runner he has that gift of been able to pass him the ball at just the right time. When he is not on the pitch those same forwards often get the ball to early or to late and do not look very good.

I agree. He has missed a few games this year. That won't get any better next year but we will still have Hudson so maybe we can use Drew a bit less and hopefully turn a game if we need him to (assuming we do sign him). Rangi, Shifty and Drew on the pitch would give us a fantastic kicking game!

I wouldnt say i really wouldnt want him in our team, he is an undoubted talent and the sort of player who can win games, however he is old for an rl player and increasingly injury prone, and if we were to get him i would like to see netherton retained so we have netherton, hudson, sherwin, chase, drew and mcgoldrick to share the halfs and hookers roles. If its true about us being one of clubs after morrison i would feel pretty much the same, a player who i have admired for years but a very big risk in terms of injuries.

oh dear, those words again from mr wright, the squad will be better, it makes me cringe when i think about what he said when we signed newlove and co, something like, this is the best squad we have had in super league, and where did we finish.

at the end of the day the squad will be in stronger if matterson tells wright who he wants and who he doesnt want that means matterson should and i will say it again should be getting rid of the players he feels is not good enough for his plans

Think martin, drew and jackson would be poor signings, but snitch would be a good signing.

Yeah, those performances he put in during his lengthy injury were pretty poor in comparison...give the guy a break. He's played well since coming back I reckon.

I'd sooner see him offered another year than bringing some players we've been linked with in.
