We won't be close to top six, our light squad bulked up with inexperienced youngsters will ensure we're not too consistent. So saying that, I've every confidence that we've got a decent squad of players that TM will get playing well. I'd be unhappy if we finish lower than tenth.

im fully expecting us to finish in the 8-10th spots this year..

I also expect us to have a small point diference either way.....

Id just like to say that id like to see all of the youngsters in the squad get 5 or 6 games so by the time the next franchise comes around we will have 12 or so players from our own academy in the first team...

I think we have the ability to make the top 9.
Top 8 (and a play-off place if the RFL decide to expand it) would require a lot of luck with injuries and for our newly assembled side to gel quickly.
Not impossible though.

Is this the thread where everyone posts their realistic views - then directly after games end, post on other threads how bad we are, how the squad isn't big enough, that the coach needs sacking - forgetting everything they posted on this one in November ?!!!

The exact one. So to give me an excuse later in the year I think we'll finish top with our only lose in the Challenge Cup final against Dewsbury.

Of course i care where we finish, to suggest otherwise is absurd, i take delight in beating our local rivals convincingly, when no one else could, whats so strange about that?, or being pleased leeds havent won at cas in years? we have had a pretty crappy last few years and have learnt to enjoy the good times when we have them.

Are you go on the hull forums and tell them they shouldnt enjoy it when they win the derby?

Last season we added 5 new players to the team that won NL1 whilst losing our stand out player (Danny Brough) and with that side managed to get 15 pts and come close to a few more. Admittedly we added a couple of players mid season in Sargent & Catic who strengthened the pack considerably. And the form over the last couple of months of the season was mid-table stuff.

For next season we've added around 10 players, predominantly in the forwards whilst the only notable losses are Catic & Dorn. With that squad I think a placing around 10th is not unrealistic providing we don't have Hull-style luck with injuries!
