Has signed for us next season, are you happy or sad to see him go ? I don't really remember him from recent Cas games, any good and what do you think his best position is ?

To be honest he been very poor all year his tackling gone down hill and really wont be missed.

I'll be sad to see him go, never really kicked on this year as expected but always thought he was ok myself. Started off at centre but moved into 2nd row which seems to be where Hull will be using him from the article in the rugby press this morning.

When it was announced earlier this year he'd be leaving I was pretty gutted as last year he was great, and had a top year in 2011 under Terry Matterson.

However, this year he's been pretty poor and hasn't been in the side as much - whether this is due simply to poor form or because his mind is elsewhere is uncertain, but he has potential. Not the biggest second row, but when he ran with pace around the ruck in 2011 he was occasionally pretty devastating off the bench - scoring with his first touch of the game a few times I remember - and played above his weight.

I must admit I'm glad to see we've got Frankie Mariano in his place - I feel at Cas we have quite a physically small team, with players like Thompson in the pack we sometimes struggle against bigger, stronger forwards.

If you can get him back in that form, he'll do a good job, otherwise on the 2013 form even under Powell I imagine he'll be a squad player at best.

Hull obviously signed him on the back of his previous season when he played his best rugby, ironically Thats when he struggled to get in the team and his best performances were off the bench, this season has been a polar opposite and he wont be missed.

Will he end up being another Cas player who finds the grass not as lush after all?

He will have plenty of travel options over to humberside - that is for sure.

Poor as a three-quarter and struggles frequently.

One of the strongest players at the club despite his frame and can put that to good use in attack. Sadly, his deficiencies in defence will end up costing a lot of tries based on his performances this season.

Hope you have good centres that can help him out.

If Adam Pearson has such a hard on for cas player's, why doesn't he just buy the club, then he's got them all.

5 all, so for the moaning about us having ex Cas players, you have the same about of ex Hull players.

diff being they brought all those thru their juniors i think whereas you brought dixon thru yours and signed the rest so i think their point is justified, how many hull trained (and i include the sunny side of hull too in this) players are plying their trade in s.l ? And how many cas lads ?

Except Lynch is a Cas junior so technically, that doesn't really count.

I don't think wingers are what we need. We need forwards, a bit of muscle and biff

I think Briscoe is a good player that has lost his way at Hull and would certainly welcome him to the club.

However, money wise I think it would be a little silly to spend money on a position that doesn't need strengthening unless we are preparing ahead of next season or someone else is leaving that we are not aware of.

If Briscoe comes in, I think that's the end of his career at Cas for Richie Owen.

Not a bad team on paper. Not sure Owen has a place anyway to be honest. he hasn't shown much in the appearances he's made. Bottled it in defence a few times against Wakey
