Saturday proved to me that either Ian Millward is a poor coach, or the players didn't want to play for him.
How else could we play that , same team. Some of the passing moves were very well rehed an executed, something we have seen very little of previously this season. The whole energy and performance of the team were excellent.
Either Dary Powell is a miracle worker, or one of the two things stated in the subject topic were true.
Not sure Daryl is a miracle worker.

I think the guys have just been freshened up - I personally don't think Millward's style of coaching resonated with many players - especially following on from Matterson.

Powell certainly seems far more relaxed and approachable as a boss, as well as having the knowledge and willingness to learn - I often got the impression that Millward had a "look at what I've done with saints" attitude to try and command respect.

This squad is certainly talented, it's just finding ways to get the best from people.

It helped that Wakefield rarely pressured us, gave our halves time on the ball, and enabled us to play with confidence that we could darve them apart at will.

Hopefully we can take that into Saturday, and if we do, two points will be in the bag

I think in Ian Millwards defence he just didn't fit in at the club. Jack Fulton choose the wrong man IMO and it was a rushed appointment.

In this weeks League Weekly there is an interview with Adrian Lam who clearly states he was offered the Cas job first as soon as it was decided Terry Matterson was leaving and he turned us down for family reasons. He is now ready for a stint in SL. Could he be a target for Wigan if Wane leaves for Austrailia ? Or even our friends over the common if Agar gets the push ?

I think Agar will stay at wakefield - he has a habit of lingering around once the players and fans have had enough.

I saw the half time dressing room footage of Saturday and i think it's the most negative body language from a group of people I've ever seen.
