| Well Cas havent won at New Craven Park (MS3 Stadium since 1994, the heady days of Steadman, Ford, Blackmore, kemp, Nickau, Crooks etc.
I will be most surprised if they break that spell, but it is a game that we could win, especially if Dobson and Burns are missing, it would give Ellis and Chase the upperhand at half back.
After HKR we have Wakey and Saints away and Huddersfield at home.
Surely we must win 2 of those 4 games, if not we are in the mire, and the wooden spoon beckons, who are we likely to beat - Salford at home and maybe Widnes, I cant see too many victories coming our way.
I know we have 20 games left, but it is a sad state of affairs when I have to report my feeling to this extent.
I have watched Cas since the days of John Sheridan, Charlie Howard, Les Haughey, Albert Lunn and co, so I am n ot someone who has come to the party in the 1990's like most people on this board.
Ithink I have the experience to realise what is happening.
In those days it didnt matter too much, you could survive on gates of 2000, with low paid part time players, where the expectancy was low, and the only time the coach was changed was when he had had enough. The goals posts have move several fields away since then, and now it is a result and profit based game, and you have to change with the times.
We need to change very quickly either in performance or management or else we will slide into oblivion.
I will wait until Sunday before I pass further judgement.

| I'd say its a bit early to be writing off the rest of the season.
Ok, the last 2 games have been hugely disappointing but prior to that everyone was full of optimism and with good reason following our first 3 home games and to a lesser extent our away games at Warrington & Bradford.
Based on the home games against Leeds, Catalans & Wigan there's no reason to think we couldn't pull off a win against anyone we've yet to play at home this season. That's not to say we should win all our remaining home games or that we should win all the games against side outside of the top 6, just that we are capable of doing so.
Inevitably Cas remain an inconsistent side so we'll lose games we expect to win (like against London) and probably run close or win the odd game against top sides.
The only thing consistent about Cas is our inconsistency and I'm afraid that's unlikely to change anytime soon....

| FAR too early to write the season off IMO, look at wakey last year..... On Good Friday last year they were smashed by us in every area (and iirc we were above them ???). They went on to win a ridiculous amount of games towards the end of the season. Not saying We will do that but on paper we have a good squad and are capable of going well, hopefully tomorrow we can kick start our year.
