Just as a matter of interest what role does the Match Commisioner play on match day? I ask this because I have just seen the list of match officials on Saturday and the MC is Paul Crashley, who I know is a huge Fev fan, and is born and bred in the Ponty / Fev area.
I don't know how much influence he can have on affairs, but if he does have any, then the combination with the referee Ben Thaler will make things a little more difficult for us.
Mr Thaler is already being placed under massive pressure by the Rovers lot, regarding when he reffed them against us a few years ago, for giving us a try they claimed was not and helped win us the game. The fact was that it was given by the touch judge and was subsequently proven to be the totally correct decision. It also overlooked the fact that he hammered us for the rest of the game.
I wonder if he will buckle under this pressure or any he may have applied to him by Mr Crashley, or whether he will keep calm and ref the game and decisions on merit?
