=#0000FF9. Castleford Tigers turn up with the wrong kit
The Rugby League side from Yorkshire must have been excited about their televised clash against Huddersfield in June 2011: they were so jittery that they managed to turn up with the wrong kit.
Rather than bring their main strip they brought their reserve shirts - which happened to be almost identical to Huddersfield's kit. Castleford ended up having to play in borrowed shirts (they eventually took to the field in the colours of Halifax) and the club was fined £500 for failing to check the rules carefully enough about which strip they were supposed to be wearing.
