Can anybody tell me ... Does the away shirt have the "Help For Heroes" logo actually printed on it? If not, how does RED symbolise H4H! The H4H logo to my knowledge and it's official site just shows a medal with Navy Blue, Red & Light Blue bars. The Help For Heroes font is White on a Navy Blue background!
Red has no significant association with Help For Heroes! and is just a crappy excuse given to justify the RED colour. We might as well have made the shirt with Turquoise, Brown & Magnolia Zig Zags and claimed it is for Haiti Aid!
As someone mentioed earlier in this thread ... Red clashes with just about half of Super League's base home colours ... Wigan Saints, HKR, Salford, Crusaders and probably others I have yet to see! ... This shirt will be worn about 5 times throughout the season at the most.
I have already given donations on various occasions to the H4H fund, and will continue to do so, but personally (and nothing to do with Man. Utd) will not be buying this poor excuse for a shirt!
Why oh why can we not use the Amber, Black & White on away shirts! Predominantly Amber for Home, and Predominantly Black or White for Away.
From the feedback I have heard about this new shirt, Help For Heroes looks like it might just about benefit by a grand total of £4
That's my little rant out of the way!
in keeping with a recent cas tradition the new away shirt is awful. if they wanted to make a charitable donation they could have done so with any away shirt, and not make up some excuse about in keeping with the charities colours.
i'l just buy the home shirt and donate to the charity any hoo. FWIW the away kit should have been whitre with a black and amber vee. the shirt could have incorperated the H4H logo on the chest, it would have probs stood out more that way.
Is anyone else bored with the whole Awayshirtgate business yet? We have been pretty much talking about it for three weeks now!
Surely there is something else to talk about.
