Been reading around that a number of sporting clubs offer fans 'club membership' for a season to get money off paying on the gate. I haven't really thought about it or done the sums, but it sounds like a great deal for those of us who aren't REAL fans and can only make a handful of games. The deal is that you spend say £30 on a club membership and then get £5 off the ticket price for every game you attend.

I'd certainly be interested, a way for the club to make a bit of extra cash perhaps?

but would that mean season ticket holders then taking out a 'club membership' card for the following season. then
missing say one game over the season and saving on the season ticket price ? its only four games you save as it is ?

It would have to be valued at a price so that buying a season ticket is the best option up until you say miss around 5 games.

I like the idea it could encourage fans that normally only make a couple of games a season to make that few extra, bringing in more for the club. And if they don't then the club has made the initial price of the membership.
