What gets me is last week from the club was need help, please send money, attend the game (which I did all) and I’m sure many of you did. Enough money raised to pay HMRC and the nothing from the club. They should be keeping us informed event by event now we have handed over more money to the BOD.

It’s only a maybe and said some of it before.

We keep mentioning the board but many of the original consortium have left, Lee Kenny joined later and he’s been the one front and centre of late and obviously heavily involved in sorting it all out.

Not sure what else he’s on with but must have a life and other commitments away from the club.

It’s only been a week so as frustrating as it is, maybe have to have a bit of patience.

Again not likely to find out what went on in the past and the future will all unravel one way or another.

So Lee Kenny has now left and the post talks about new leadership so apart from the coach coming in who's going to be this new person / people doing the leading ?

Strange reason for retiring, that the club's vision for the future doesn't align with Kenny's. I thought being the Chair of a small BOD, that Kenny IS the club (for the time being).

As I've said before, I've lost trust in the current BOD anyway so I'll welcome a complete change. I didn't like how the huge tax bill all of a sudden landed on the door step, and I certainly didn't like the claim that other clubs had been granted extensions whereas Fax hadn't which made no sense at all. Also that 6 figure sum which never happened ..... and so on and so on and so on ......

All probably bona fide but just my perception.

Certainly going to be an interesting off season, with Kenny resigning and finn leaving , now I've just read one of the directors suffered a collapsed lung at the weekend and has previously had a heart attack , can't imagine his family being too enthusiastic about him being heavily involved Certainly in the immediate future.

Why anyone would want to become involved in taking over any rugby league club is beyond me never mind one in the Championship with debt issues, ground issues etc etc but I suppose someone will be doing so at Fax.

Talking about the ground whatever happened to the rumour that the Shay was going to be taken over by some large local businesses and a new trust from a few weeks back, or was it just another pie in the sky idea doing the rounds?

The bit about Kenny leaving saying that his vision for the club doesn't align with the clubs. Who is it that he doesn't agree with, he was interim chairman there is hardly anyone left on the board it would be interesting to know.

The last rumour i heard the fraines , marshalls and a-safe were the interested parties.

Agreed. I've mentioned Ken Davy several times as an extreme example. Why on earth it means so much to him that he's prepared to squander 20 million quid (and no doubt a huge amount of time) is quite bizarre. David Hughes over 20 million quid at London - madness. I like RL (much less so nowadays due to the absurd IMG system and a big decline in quality and entertainment) - it's in the genes following on from my dad and granddad but it's not the be all and end all and I manage perfectly fine during the winter without it and I'm sure I'll find something else to do (something better no doubt!) if it was ever to disappear in the summer.

Past financial disasters at Fax left me fairly dejected but this last one was more a feeling of "what will be will be" and I thought I would never think "Thank god" when a season has ended.

...and if longtime diehard supporters such as yourself think like that it shows what a task anyone has in running a Championship club these days. As for myself, i've been waiting for the season to finish for weeks. The ludicrous IMG situation has almost brought the game below SL level to its knees. There again, perhaps that is the real reason they've been brought in! To think the RFL are paying them hundreds of thousands a year to basically ruin the game. Beyond belief! On another note, i see season tickets are out and on sale. For the first time in ages i'm seriously thinking of not getting one and picking and choosing games next year.

What are people's feelings on the Membership scheme that is being pushed? Aiming for 1000 is ambitious and given current uptake is around 90, still a long way to go. The club are been transparent but with such a big initial target it seems unlikely they will meet it. Especially now season tickets are on sale.

I've not had a season ticket for years, I'll still be at games but I'll continue to pick and choose which I go to. In years gone by we'd arrange our calendar around rugby fixtures, but more recently we don't. It's hard to pinpoint the change, maybe since Covid. But on the whole matchdays don't have the same feel anymore. I actually enjoy away days more than home games.

Taking Brews point about membership, I posted earlier that I would seriously consider joining, however until the club have not only business men at the helm but people also understand how to run a rugby club my pennies are staying put, they might not earn much in the bank but …

So London are now begging for £350k to survive the winter. Just the start of things to come imo. What happens next year? A request for yet another £350k? It's all just papering over the cracks. Massive reform needed.

London have said they need 900k to get through next season, with 350k needed in the next month or so, so they can make commitments. A lot of money to find in RL.

Our own situation though, everything has gone very quiet. Had the announcement about Tangata re-signing but nothing since. No update on the financial situation, coach, signings, sponsors for 2025. Nothing at all. And anyone who dares mention it on the facebook fans forum is labelled a troll or negative.

We are used to it at FCHT. A chairman/owner who treats the supporters with utter contempt then wonders why attendances are reducing.

With Fax though, there is probably a hell of a lot going on behind the scenes. Fax have always been extremely good in communicating with the support base so its no surprise some are getting frustrated.

I was concerned with some of the things Ive heard why Lee Kenny stepped down. Got the impression he was one of the good guys and from what Ive been told, he didnt want to hang around given the direction others wanted to go. Rumours will only strengthen the longer there is silence.

Not surprised anyone doesn’t want to be involved and hang around a rugby league club these days and my concerns are that the same goes for why anyone would want to get involved and if there are any “others” for Fax to be going anywhere.

Just seen the latest update from the club - very upbeat whilst telling us absolutely nothing

Off on a tangent, there was a rugby league question on The Chase today. Which score in Rugby League scores an odd number of points? a). a try, b) a penalty or c) a drop goal. After much laughing both contestant and chaser guessed the right answer. So not only did they not know, they thought a question about RL "funny". Well guys, you ain't heard nothing yet. Just wait for the next question. In what sport can a team finishing top NOT get promoted but the 2nd team can, and a team can NOT get relegated but the 2nd from bottom can. Bradley and the Beast will laugh their socks off!

Instead of using the "closed shop" model of Australia, they should be shoring up the lower leagues so whoever gets promoted doesn't just spend 1 season there getting battered week after week. While I admire London giving it a go, I'm not sure I could have put up with some of the cricket scores they amassed.

West Tigers hardly an advert for no relegation either. Consistently bottom half (if not bottom) for over a decade. So what's the answer?

Strange that they have no obvious links to Halifax and are Preston based. Unless they have a development starting in the area soon perhaps?

Currently sponsor the back of AFC Fylde shirts. But a quick glance at their website they have no operations outside of the north west.

Yeah saw the same thing bit strange , because there's all this in the air about the stadium I'm always on the lookout.

Will be interesting if there are any shocks in Wednesday's IMG ratings. It will be absolutely hilarious if Toulouse finish above Wakey and are promoted. I wouldn't put anything past these clowns but I'm guessing that the SL will "screen" the ratings by IMG before the release and "suggest certain adjustments deemed necessary"
