Good/gritty performance. Does seem like we still have that tendancy to switch off once we get a bit of a lead up and let the other team back in though which is a bit of a worry.

Overall though we did ok and came away with the win. Still think the pre-season disruption is playing a part in things, but the signs look positive.

Widnes fans where bad as some watched the game in pubs.

I see the crowd wasn't big enough for any share of the gate money to be given to the charity. Shame really with it being a great cause.

Widnes' running costs must be huge, best crowds in the championship and they still can't afford to contribute to the charity.
Doesn't hold out much hope for the other teams and their embarrassingly low support in comparison. (serious comment)

I just think black is been played in other postions than scrumhalf and struggles to get in to the game. Take a look at the scrums last night and brannigan was at scrumhalf and not stand off, thats where black is most distructive.

No idea about if he remains injured or anything officially, but last time I bumped into him on a night out he said he hasn't been able to feel 3 of his fingers properly for months, that can't be helpful! Watching match back today I noticed he seemed to shake his hand awkwardly after every tackle too. Interesting, can't imagine the club would play him if it was genuinely having a huge impact though

Also replica shirt is for sale at the club shop with £5 of the proceeds from every shirt sold going to the everyman charity.

With crowd as it says on Widnes site it was realted to number being higher than last seasons attendance. Plus it's not like the club didn't give anything to charity the attendance one was simply another donation if we could up the numbers... a real shame we couldn't do that together but all the other work was fantastic!

TBH, mate. It was always going to be a big ask to get a big crowd on a manky Thursday night in March. I applaud their efforts anyway.
