Apart from seeming to compare (again for the countless number of times) everything Fax has with everything Leigh has in favor of Leigh.

Leigh should do better, they have all the "seeming" advantages, full time team, millionaire backer etc etc.

I said before your biggest threat (and ours) comes from the bottom 4 of SL in the eights, in there the advantages are reversed as your own DB is stating.

Your next biggest threat comes from within and whether the "buy the way to success" approach can produce a team capable of delivering the goods from a group of high payed individuals several of whom are new to the side.

PS. It might even be the other way round.

Buying big name individuals is a guarantee. It's worked at Salford hasn't it!

A team is a team, not a group of individuals. Getting them to gel is the secret.

I do tend to agree, however many clubs in all sports buy big name individuals and do get them to gel as you say.
The secret? The coach.

And the mentality of the player! They have to have that team ethos in them somewhere. A good coach will put it all together and make a team better than the sum of the parts.

Im not sure what has happened at Salford, I'm a Marwan fan though ,I think he is trying to hard to be successful,it doesn't happen overnight,as for Leigh signing the big names,it looks a very exciting team next year,I hope they can gel together but I agree there's nothing certain.

Just that our mate Charlie often compares Fax players to their Leigh counterparts, Leigh are always superior.

Fax signings are just average at best, Leigh signings are above average at worst.

Fax will finish 5th or below, Leigh will finish top or above top.

Since it will be the bottom 4 SL clubs being the biggest challenge who Leigh have to get past the comparison needs to include them and not just the likes of the lowly Fax.

Well you did state you never really rated Ben Kaye as I stated with most Fax players and simply answering a question to clear up the aftermath of another Charlie thread hijack to promote the Leigh are "IT" campaign.
