I agree. On the postive side:

1. The RFL have confirmed we meet the minimum criteria. As such, provided we tick the on field criteria for the next round in 2015 then, applying the precedent just set with Widnes, it will be our turn to get the nod.
2. Batley do the best pie, chips and gravy in the world so there's at least 4 more servings to be had before we return to our place in the sun

The above assumes that we won't get the place in July. I can't see the RFL giving two current teams the boot. Our best bet will be if they do a last minute rule change and increase numbers by 1.

The RFL announced the winner of the licence now so the championship club has time to prepare!

I'm chuffed that we have passed the criteria to able to go against the SL clubs - it shows we are making great progress. However, I hope we dont make it in july, we'll find it really really tough if we do!

Or seeing Crusaders' administration for what it is - a massive license failure.

I agree with Sean we have played the game and the club did a really professional job in putting a creditable application together. So well done FAX !!!! Also the announcement today was very odd .... The RL admitted we met all the criteria so it was a straight decision between us and Widnes.

Whats going to happen in July if an exisiting SL club are given a licence when they do not meet the criteria - in my opinion I think they will increase the SL by two teams as taking a licence from someone like Wakefield would leave them crippled even worst financially as they will be budgeting within the club on SL status.

Surely the RL would have been better today saying that Barrow and Halifax had strong bids but the place goes to Widnes why open themselves up to criticism by stating FAX have met the required criteria ????

Acting like massive mard*rses won't get you into Super League. Widnes (first time round) and Leigh have learnt that lesson. Hope you do too, and get in come July.

Can see it being like Widness is now, despite the fact that you imo are the better option they were turned down in favour of Crusaders. So this year were gonna get in no matter what to make up for it. So i can see you being certs to get in just like they were this year despite all this criteria they say they us, to make up for not getting it though you still may as a few SL clubs havent kept the promises they made to the RFL.

Widnes are basically no further now than they were 3 years ago , in fact their attendances are well down on what they were then , they also had just nade 2 consequtive NL1 Gf's , wereas this time they have finished mid table the last 2 years , you havent a clue what you're taking about

Too right, get a good run of Champion style performances n results and create a big positive atmosphere about the club. Will be tough as naturally fans will be downbeat and negative about the future but if anything this should spur your team on to prove the RFL wrong and that it should be you playing at the highest level. You've done it off the field now, just keep doing it on.

Ha! Forget this date - Ralph Rimmer confirmed with his gaffe last night that we won't be considered for a license. What a prick. What a bunch of weasels the RFL are. Why don't they grow some balls and start being honest with the fans who watch the game?

Looking at our forthcoming fixtures this is a big game that we must win now. Come on lads just do it.

Just like to wish you guys good look in the next round of application, we all know what it feels like to miss out on the day.I know there was a lot of banter between the two sets of fans beforehand but thats due to the passion of all of us.
I believe that your bid is more solid than three our four SL teams so lets hope thr RFL do it fairly this time.
Would be nice for us to play you in the first game of the new SL season
