Well I'm guessing we won't get any of the big guns so it'll probably be a game between two of Tonga, Italy, USA and the Cook Islands but it'd be nice to PNG against somebody.
Whatever I'll be there and hopefully plenty of others as well.

tottaly agree with that statement, quite a few on there would not be missed if were lost.

What about the North and Skircoat stands? Does anyone know if these are condemned or not? Also, unrelated - are we having an U23's this season? Anyone?

I believe not only are we having an U23's but also an U17's

Anybody the French Scrum Half who played at Hull a few years ago Patrick Entat? He was from Avignon and the area is one of the best in France for producing Rugby League players.

Wood (I think) was on Radio Leeds and was on about the councils commitment to getting the North Stand re-opened for the World Cup game which is part of the reason we got the gig.

Confirmed by Michael Steele this evening at the Supporter's Night.

Michael steele said at the Meet the Players last nught that part of the deal in getting the World cup was that the Council agreed to completely refurbish the North Stand(away end) and that they had to provide an electronic scoreboard too

I wonder if they are going to turn it into an all seater then, which I believe is the most economical way to refurbish it.

Hope the scoreboard goes above 100 unlike the manual one we have.

Yer I heard that too, that is very good news and we should all give the Council credit for this commitment in such difficult times and believe me as I work there these are very hard times as the Council budget is being cut cut to shreds along with jobs and services being outsourced, those who hate the Council you got your revenge there will not be much left by 2014!
They could have easily said no as they need the money elsewhere but common sense and foresight has taken sway as if they do repair the North Stand and get an electronic scoreboard it makes the Shay as good as any stadium in the country at this size of stadium anyway rather than having a half done stadium with a wooden scoreboard (only used for RL anyway) putting the Shay in say the Conference League in football terms or the Championship in RL terms (remember both clubs are aiming higher us the SL and Town League 1 in the longer term).
