Still talk of a possible Championship 1 team in South Wales in the League Express this week, a quote from the Widnes MP saying he spoke to Richard Lewis and he confirmed it was been looked into.

Could this be the reason behind the delay in the fixtures been released. 2 leagues of 11 teams this year perhaps?

Just got this reply from out lords and masters at the RFL about the fixtures ........

Note the word "hoping".

Ive seen a reply from an email to RFL asking same question about fixtures...the response to that one was...Mid January !!!!!!

I want to book next years summer hol and I want to know when we are playing to try an avoid any 'big' games.

What a joke our sport is, the Championship fixtures were due out last week at least but as soon as an expansion area club comes into the mix its hold everything to give this new club every chance of getting on the fixture list - sod the rest of us they are more important.

Surely you set out who will be in which league well before the fixtures are published and there must be some deadline for the leagues so they can work it out??

Plus which league are this new club going to play in, don't tell me Championship???
Is that fair on say Oldham who played in the Champioship 1 Grand Final?

Plus surely another club in Wales will weaken the other one as they will take the jumior players in Wales, there is only room for one.

Why? Thats like saying theres only room for one team in Yorkshire.

Maybe they felt bad for the 2 men and their dog that used to watch Celtic and felt they needed to start a new team to satisfy their needs for rugby league!

Cos there are not enough players in Wales, a bit different to Yorkshire der.

There arent enough junior players? I thought there junior set up was thriving. One of the good points of having the Crusaders down there. So surely there are enough juniors to go round. Unless you know different?

Don't believe all you read its all PR spin to justify them being there. Remember its far easier getting young lads to play sport than keeping them at 16+
