Sorry to say I told you so but when I brought the topic,"Is Calland Up to It" to the forum after the Sheffield game I was poo pooed by many on here. We were first out played and out thought by Sheffield and Mark Aston. We did not heed the warnings, I can tell you that even then there were a lot of people who, like myself, understand the game, thought we could be heading for a fall. Sorry to say it looks as though we are big time chokers and Mr C is just not up to it. Think he should fall on his sword now as he has clearly lost their support. The team cannot play with any less organisation even if he is back in Lancashire next Thursday.

You have asked if i was drunk yet agreed with pretty much everything i said? No i wasn't drunk. But i did try and watch the game as a single match rather than bringing up everything from the past few weeks as well. If we hadn't had a bad run i don't think people would be moaning as much about last night as they are.

I never said last nights performance was fantastic, but it certainly wasn't what some of the people on here have been saying. i wouldn't even say Barrow were enthusiastic most of the game, i just think they had moents of brilliance which unfortunately we didn't have

If we'd of lost 8 out of 12 at the start of the season in the fashion we just have i think a lot more people would be calling for Calland's head

It really makes no difference whatsoever. Its an open forum and people can express their views.
Unfortunatley on the coaching front we have missed the boat, a couple of weeks agao one telephone call and we could of had Rhino in but we hung around to see if things would pick up. Instead two shoddy victories have just glossed over what will be the inevitable.

I'm prepared to wait until the end of the season. A season which thus far has been the best one since 1998. But then again, i'm not an unreasonable screaming jackass who's so short sighted that i can't see beyond next week or three month's past.

No. I will of course give a critical assessment of how we collapsed but i will asses the season as a whole and remember that we led the league for most of the season. I will also take into account how Leigh were also amongst the front runners at the start of the campaign but have now been relegated. Maybe i will spare a thought for the sterling work done by the back room staff and the people propping up our club - at their own expense and voluntarily and that other clubs have more resources at their disposal. Then i will say Wow ! We finished second. Not bad that. Roll on next season !

Sorry mate, I just don't buy that at all. Surely he would want to come beacause of the coaching and the set up if he was truly interested? - To say reading a forum was the basis of his decision to not join the club is a little poor from you in my opinion.

What a crap day yesterday turned out to be. Our in-play kicking is woeful, our kick to touch from a penalty is laughable, in the first half black took one and the players didnt even have to move forward ready for the tap. Our passing is poor, we used to be able to string 3 passes together to get from wing to wing, now we can't even pass from the base of the scrum ( 1st minute on our own line) the player had to dive to collect the pass, and as for that kick to touch in the 2nd half that just dribbled 5 metres forward, well!

I watched it last night on tv when I got back and heard Bazza say we only made 11 metres from 4 drives, thats woefully poor BUT I agree with the posts on here that Barrows tackling was awsome, it was.

Ballard made a break in the first half, fell over and we still didnt catch him! Barrow off loaded at will and at times it was like touch and pass.

It all looked like it was gonna go sour when we kick on the 2/3rd in the first few minutes then on the 2nd tackle defending we give a penalty away and end up back down where we came from a few moments before.

Our go forward is and has been non existent the last 3 months, no wonder the halves look like headless chickens, this was mentioned many times on sky, at times it looked like men against boys in the collission, players falling off tacklees, not wrapping the ball up etc.

I agree also, Penky is a hooker ffs play him there. I also noticed Haley pushes Worrnicy into field when its the last ready for the high ball, least Calland has fixed that problem.

Heres hoping for next Thursday, we've blown 3 chances of something special this season (cup semi, finishing top, last night ) we have 1 chance left, I just hope we don't finish the season with nothing after having it all in our our destiny for 3/4 of the season.

Of course all this affects players, THEY ARE HUMAN. You all want Shad Royston to stay, do you think he wants to now? Probably not. If last night everyone had come on here saying hard luck we need to do the job on Thursday do you think he might? More probably yes.

We will end up becoming one of those clubs who are regarded as having whining, moaning, fickle fans. If a player had two identical offers on the table then which would you choose, one with fans who get behind you in the hard times or one where the fans have got a reputation for getting very personal about certain individuals and doing a lot of moaning. I know which I would choose.
