He ran into a couple of players very hard last night, and towards the end he went off, (just seemed tired) nothing serious i don't think.

Swinton looked like they played well with some ex Widnes players.Cant believe the noisy fan and ref was blind to not see the Worrincy knock on.

Got to say on the highlights it does look like a knock on but at the game the reason why we think it was not given (we were in that corner) was becuase Rob just, by a blade of grass, picked the ball up off the floor before it hit the deck, close very, close but it was just play on, honest.

Watching those highlights makes me think how bad is our attack and defence near the line but how good we are from long range, we don't do boring tries much do we?
This is how we have been the last few years, score some great tries but concede sloppy ones.

Also noticed too many players coming out of the line too quickly, lets hope they learn from those misatkes.

Great game last night and I can see that a number of you thought Fax played well but you have to give credit to my own Swinton lions.Easily we could have been blown away in the first 15mins of the game but we stuck to the task and in the second half particularly were the better side for long periods.Indeed and iIdoubt you wouldn't disagree we would have won had the ref not missed the blantant forward pass and clear knock on leading to two of Fax's tries.
You really need to get Rob Worrincy running as far forward as he does sidewards as he is a big strong lad hope he isn't out to long as he seemed to go off injured.

I can see where your coming from but from the other side this was Swintons cup final. The first team to have a crack at the champions and raised their game for it. Halifax have to realise that every team is going to do this so we have to lift our game to combat it. On Friday it didnt look like we did this but i dont think we were ever in any real danger as if needed we have quality through out the team. So it was a very good game for both sides. Swinton look a decent team and well organised, you will go well this season.

I have given loads of credit to Swinton you played really well and I think you will be in super League next season however lets not forget some of the decisions the ref gave Swintons way including the 1 where he pulled back Paul White with the try line begging for what would have been a fax try when he should have played on

I don't fully agree with you, I think we were in immense danger, if the officials hadn't seen the outside near to the end and the score had stood I think swinton would have seen out the game.

Yeah but thats the officials job. Hicks didnt have a clue but the linesman got it bang on. Well it wasnt a difficult decision seen as though he was about 10 yards offside.

If anything last night shows that Paterson HAS to play Centre. The line he ran for his first try was awesome.

Interception passes and coming out of the line early; now where have I seen that before?

If you're defending and come out of the line, then you've got to nail your tackle. James Haley seems to be getting prone to doing this at the moment. It's fine to do it if your team-mates are ready for it, and can plug the gap you've left, but otherwise it's a dangerous game to play.

I'd rather see a solid straight line - much harder to break through than the dog's hind leg we have sometimes.

That was the right call as there was a double knock on.

What it did show was you don't need to throw 15-20 metre passes everytime as simple is often better.

Although Swinton played well and should really be getting promoted with that squad Fax were very poor in the little things. Started very well, game played at speed and deprived Swinton of the ball. That start quickly faded and the players looked so lethargic it was unbelieveable.. The game slowed to Swintons pace and we never got going again. We certainly looked to miss a bit of impact from the bench. When we come up against teams like Leigh (who are massive in the forwards) and Widnes we will need a bit more impact.

We did, but that is more of a result of only having one prop playing. Would have been completely different is Frank, Azue, Ostick were playing.

Equally the result may have been different if we`d had Wilson,Gallagher Joseph and Hurst on,but then who knows?
Top game and very enjoyable, Pity Holroyd didnt play. Ha!
