Ever since Muzza left it’s glaringly obvious we’ve missed someone to take control on the field, players like him make the team and squad a completely different side and my number 1 priority signing wherever he played would be a Leader.

Well i’d hardly call him a disaster when playing behind a beaten pack and It’s been explained before who wanted Widdop here and it’s also been been mentioned several times that he was forced on Finn so who did he have in mind for the leadership role because I’ve not seen him?

In any case I was talking about what’s to come and the future but maybe we shouldn’t bother then and continue to run round like headless chickens?

Muzza was unique. I can't think of anyone with similar on field passionate leader qualities out there at the mo, and I certainly haven't seen any on opposition sides.

Just proves the value of a good leader and what I said about not having one since him and why we should still be looking but if there isn't anyone we won’t bother and stay as we are and have a squad of followers with no one to follow which is exactly what we often look like game after game, leaderless and clueless.

Would we be disappointed? I think I would have liked to have seen a second season but with disorder behind the scenes, can't really blame him for taking on another, arguably better opportunity. If true, would much prefer someone without fax connections.

Will be really tough to get interest in the job with what has gone on and the squad for next season. Id love for Muzza and Tyrer to come back but they would be pretty stupid to do that with what they are currently doing.

In our situation I think John Kear would be ideal. Dan Fleming stated he's one best coaches he's played under and the most honest, and that's what the club needs at the moment.

This is a rebuild job. It will be moneyball style of underrated value and building decent player value proposition to get them to come. I look at what Coleman has done at Widnes this year. I think Kear's time has gone maybe. Bit of a relic to the ghosts of coaching past.

Just another mess and bad timing if true and there’s not another trap door waiting to fall through with any new coach being tied to a shoestring budget, who we retain from what we have now and the new rumoured incomings that Finn was going to bring in.

My thinking behind Kear is that we can forget being competitive with the top for the next couple of years whilst this mess and the Shay are sorted out so it's a case of trying to stay up (assuming we don't get relegated this season) and I think Kear can achieve that the cheapest.
