Certainly appeared that way - despite 'fax being under the cosh for most of the 1st half he never once looked to help out the forwards by taking the ball up from inside his own 20, something I'd expect a winger to be doing.

The converse argument is just imagine what all these wingers think who are sent to stand out on our wing , Hitchcock , Bibey , Evalds ......can anyone recal them getting a decent pass in space from their ? Thereby lies the problem and to be frank that's why switching who we have on the wing won't do much until we pass them the bloody ball early or create a break.

I think you should've gone to Specsavers! In play, he touches the ball 5 times in the 1st half:
1. picks up a loose ball and runs.
2. AHB ca45m from his own line - passes
3. AHB ca10m from Fev line - passes
4. 'Quick' 20 m tap - runs
5. AHB ca35m from own line - runs

So im correct then. Also more yards in the 1st half than any other Fax player.



So 5 sets there and he ran 3 times including the loose ball. Considering how many sets we actually had in that 1st half and how many started on his side of the pitch that is not as bad as you want us to believe especially when Fevs attacking kicks were mainly down the JWH and Heaton side of the pitch.

So did Hitchcock get a pass from any Halifax player?

I think you are partly right Fev, I don't think he played particularly well either or looked interested. ( I gave him a 6 ) My point is I wouldn't be enthusiastic standing on a wing where It is a miracle if I get a pass. I can't recall if JWH got any early ball where he could remotely pass either. But we will see today and hopefully they try to get it out.

They were not good enough, waste of money, moved out thank goodness and the person now wearing the shirt is at least 3 times as good on a bad day.

JWH was on the other wing. Kind of irrelevant as I have said many times before the season started as we could have the best winger in the world on our team and they still wouldnt see any ball. For the coach not to address that problem in the off season is mystifying to say the least.

However, some objectivity to be applied here.
He wasn't good enough for us... and seemingly for Cas first team as he was relegated to the reserves last week to lose at fev.
My comments aren't really about whether he is or isn't good enough.
He played on the wing for fax tigers.... and in my opinion didn't look interested. I would much sooner see a fax winger in that slot.

BUT if you had been picking either the Cas team or the Fax team he wouldn’t have been in either today, being dropped from one and looking disinterested playing for the other off the back of which DP recalls him which makes perfect sense, NOT.
