| In Finns pre match interview he says something along the lines that we have strengthened our relationship with the Rhinos by making these loan deals. So i was thinking not just Hudson on loan but possibly Littlewood and Nicolson watton too because none of them have played enough dr games to continue to be available for us. Either i am barking up the wrong tree or they just haven't been announced yet.

| Not sure what’s happened to the Kieron Hudson signing reported earlier and pictured in training although loan signings can still happen and may still feature. Just been doing a recap of players for next year ( provided we stay up ) based on what has been reported and rumoured and who is signed for 2025
Woodburn hall(2025)
Salty ( not heard anything but highly unlikely he’ll go anywhere else )
Charlie graham ( been told he’s re-signed)
Owen restall
Brad graham
Ronin Dixon and one other from dewsbury ( might be ollie greensmith but not sure )
Owen mccarron ( 2nd rower to replace gee from Whitehaven)
Jack Hansen ( to replace Keyes from Sheffield)
Heard jouffret, kav n Bob all re-signed
Inman and obrien signed up
Sebastine Ikahihifo ( reported as signed from hudds)
Calcott will return from injury
Douglas ( 50/50 whether he will be able to play on )
Then there’s a few recently signed players who are signed till the end of the season who were not sure on like Boyer , hird and foster .

Would like to keep Crooks , a quality centre, although I know there are rumours of a move to London

Just posted in a new thread an article taken from Love Rugby League earlier this week explaining the rules on DR & Loans.

Clubs can have a combined maximum of 5 loan and DR players with a limit of 4 on DR in the 21 Match Day squad bearing in mind that by match day the 21 will be reduced to 17 starters and 1 - 18th man.
Still waiting for official confirmation of the details on the Leeds lads including Hudson.
Listenup can comment on elaboration seeing that he was the one to ask.

| I think that what added to the confusion was there were a number of things happening all at the same time as separate posts / comments all having something in common but not necessarily a direct connection.
For example Lannon left the week of the transfer deadline and a number of deals were being done.
We were watching for what people like Matt Shaw and Mick Gledhill were saying and MG said Foster and Hudson would be joining Fax.
Fax announced a 4pm deadline day signing which some thought would be Hudson and others Foster.
If Hudson came in along with Johnston, Littlewood and Whatton already being with us the question of loans / DR, deadline day and numbers and the rules was asked.
Only Gledhill mentioned Hudson as incoming and only the Foster signing details were officially mentioned by the club with nothing being said regarding the status of the other Leeds lads but the Hudson link looked true when Fax named 4 of them in the original 21 which included Hudson who was then pulled and replaced by Widdop shortly after even though Widdop wasn’t fit to play!
Talk about confused.com even the numbers explanation for Hudson not being named doesn’t add up because they wouldn’t have been exceeded anyway!!
As before just have to wait and see how things turn out I guess?

| All I know is that I asked a friend of a friend about Hudson that friend asked another friend and the answer was Hudson was signed on loan but couldn’t be included in the match day squad because we’d exceeded match day limits of loan /dr agreements . ( all these friends work directly for the club )
Given that Littlewood had played despite being dr for two games would lead me to believe he was now on loan , also saw watton at the game .
Anyway the easiest way to explain it is those who were originally on dr who’ve played less than four games must have transitioned to loan players and if they are not recalled within the next two weeks will be with us for the rest of the season so watton , Littlewood and Hudson . Johnson has played more than 4 so doesn’t need to be on loan and Kai Morgan is on loan unless a man in a purple suit is marooned on Ireland.
Frank Carson and two boiled eggs lol

Both are still Fax players until the end of the season - Keyes must have known for a while that he was on his way but has continued to be fully committed and has probably made the biggest individual contribution to the teams latest improved performances. Not as bothered about Gee, although again im sure hed still be fully committed if selected.

| Regardless of what’s happening in the future Fax should always play their strongest team at any given time and this will take into account such things as form, attitude and commitment to the club from any and every player as long as there here.
If there fully doing those 3 things and are the best choice for the position then they should play, if they can’t be d or there’s a better player available then they shouldn’t.

| The sad reality is that Bradford will be spending over 3x as much as us next season, maybe more, we simply can't compete with that. We will be treading water at very best until we get some new owners.

| Bradford appeared to be more laden with debt than Fax in 2022, with a £900k bank loan, So it'll be interesting to see how they're doing when the 2023 accounts are filed in the next few weeks.
Regarding players committed to other clubs for next season, it looks like it took just a couple of months for Bradford to approach Keyes and Gee and sign them, so why on earth deals can't be done after season end in mid October with a good 3 months wheeling and dealing space before the next season starts, I just don't know. It just makes it all so bloody farcical!

The Bulls have definitely had new investment in the club which I would assume is where some of the money is coming from for players and purchase of the Odsal lease. Will have to wait to see what the accounts are looking like but confidence seems to be gradually building that we are once again heading in the right direction.
Time will tell whether taking on Odsal is a good move but in the short term at least means we have some control over the ground. Gradual improvements have begun but it clearly needs more in the long term.

I wouldn't get TOO confident with Nigel Wood being involved. I'm surprised your name hasn't been changed to Bradford Brown Sox yet.

| What has happened to the great marquee signing? Is he injured, or has the penny dropped that he disrupts the flow of the team. It is a shame that his career will end like it seems to be going, sat in the stand watching.

Hamstring injury since the Sheffield game and since then the spine of the team have all being going well so no need for changes to the 1,6 and 7 slots until your forced to.
We’ve been unlucky with injuries this year in a number of positions but so far it’s hardly affected the spine.
That in itself is a surprise as especially Keyes and Woody rarely go through a full season without lengthy spells injured.
Rugby League is a squad / team game and that’s the viewpoint to have rather than looking at any one player, in that sense rather than sitting in the stand Widdop is coming back from injury and part of the final squad of players as we enter the run in to the end of the season and who knows what part he’s yet to play before the last game is played?

Absolutely. Gee is still a little way off with his thumb but Finn does like Bob in the team so I expect to see him back sooner rather than later.
The pack is a slightly different approach than the halves in as much to keep them fresh and be playing without an injury Bob coming back along with Barber it gives Finn some options to rotate rather than drop them if required.
As before it’s back to the squad concept and again as before it’s the first time in a long time we have a little strength and depth with players that are giving it a real go at the moment entering a crucial part of the season where as others are struggling with injuries.
Things can quickly change is this game and just hope we get a bit of luck on the injury front and can keep it going.
