I see that Rochdale's first choice hooker Ben Moores has been suspended for the Fax match. So I took time to see who might be filling in by visiting Rochdale's website. Not only is it "difficult" to find who their 2nd choice hooker is, but their "latest news" is the 3/6/18 match report against Swinton. Deary me. We will only have ourselves to blame if we don't put this one to bed, but we need to turn up and still have high energy levels. Luke Adamson and Gavin Bennion in particular will be up for Rochdale.

Forgot to mention in my earlier post that at times Ive criticized Ben Kaye this season but from the half way point I think he has been absolutley superb. I thought he were the MOM yesterday.

Just watched the highlights and Grady's try looked EXTREMELY SUSPECT! The Toulouse players were going nuts. And Toulouse had a man overlap at the end when they knocked on. Blinking hummering heck, that was a real close shave!

I agree with you GFB. Didn't have the best of games last week at London, but he has really stepped up for the majority of this season. I may be slightly biased but he has been impressive in attack and defence. Doesn't get the credit he deserves for the work that he puts in, but not many hookers do.

At the game I thought the try was more than a little dodgy, but from the video I've seen I honestly couldn't see a reason to disallow it. The Grove, shuddersfield. Oakham Citra 4.2% Mmm!

He has stepped up a few notches and it is nice to see people recognising that. He does a ton of work which goes unnoticed, but we can say that for most of the team this season. It is obvious that there is a great team spirit and the lads are doing it for their mates. No big time Charlies, just a great bunch of players getting more than the sum of the parts!

From my position in the South Stand, Ben Kaye has always been popular and never sledged. Yesterday's Kaye/Moore interchanging was a master stroke designed to tire the big Toulouse pack out and it worked to perfection. They never stopped running at them. Just like the old Penky/Gleeson days! Or even the Southernwood/Rowley era!

Yes the tackle Ben Kaye made yesterday represented everything about the team . He knew it would hurt but saved the try . Well done. Took the shot and got up smiling ! Ha

I also noticed yesterday how vocal and supportive he is of Brandon when being spelled.

Plus free Jura malt in't Piece Hall, if they let you in! Lol!

The ref's in a good position to see, and Grady has his hand on the ball when it hits the ground.

Unbelievable - i was a nervous wreck at the match all the way up until the hooter.

Grady's try - 100% a try. if it was on screen it would have been given with fingers on the ball.

But the greatest moment of that game was BKs try saver and not just the tackle. He'd obviously injured himself but before curling up in pain he throws has hand up at the crowd in celebration, amazing.

Ive also been HEAVILY critical of him over the past couple of years but he's been immense this time round.

Top game from a top person and his effort set the base for Brandon to come on and take it to them, good contrasting style from our 9’s.

Live at the game it looked like Grady had bounced the ball down from where I was but the touch judge immediately gave the nod and ran behind the line and the ref pointed for the try, looking now on the replay as has been said he was in control with his hand on when grounding.

For the Toulouse penalty off the Moss knock on there were at least 2 Toulouse players in front of Ford when he put the bomb up and they encroached well within the ten, it should have been a Fax penalty IMHO.

Barthau verbally abuses the touch judge so much he puts his flag up for the offence and enters the field giving the report to the ref who just calls him over and does nothing but it’s all history now in any case.

Karma in my eyes. How can Toulouse complain after been awarded that try last season at the Shay. Luckily it didn't cost us a place in top 4.
At least Grady actually touched the ball.
