Aizue has started this year how he ended last year, Awesome. He might be past his best but is still one of the best props in the league. Branno and Maloney are MASSIVE losses for us this year and they are far from being replaced with Jones and Gannon.

Its early days but the way the fixtures are this year a slow start could be all the hard games lost early doors.

Time will tell with us but in all honesty i do not hold out much hope this year, Too much messing about with the squad and rotating the players.

Giving Calland stick at this point of the season is utterly ridiculous and helps nobody. We've seen how he can turn things around, I don't know why people are so keen to get on his back. How do people call themselves Supporters and then fail to support the coach/team when they need it, instead turning against them and adding to the problems. Childish.

poor result but expected it really,the pack calland has taken to france was no where near strong enough to get us a result agaist players ov brenden worths standard. we must get back to starting with gannon and aizue and penky at 9 sec row go with banny and nash and barlow at 13. bench would be frank,ostick,beswick,chandler. the backs with goddard and patterson in will make a massive difference.also on form young fieldhouse would start as miles is way off the pace at present.calland must deceided who is half back pairing is and stick with it as you cant play black,jones and holly in the same team

No one will be thinking of this game come the end of the season. We've got 11 days rest before the big one at home to Fev, that will tell us more about where we are.

Mght have something to do with the cost of going to support them?????

I'm not so sure it will Haighy. We've 9 out at the mo - there may be a couple back by the fax game but we are still likely to be going into the Fax game with several key players missing!! So I'm not sure it will!

You forgot about Whitehaven on Weds!! Won't be easy up there and is a must win game for both sides!!

There is no such thing as an easy game in this league, especially travelling down to Toulouse. Plus don't forget, because we are Champions teams will raise their game even more against us.

Some Fax fans have very short memories to think we only have to turn up to win certain games.

Also, Leigh finished in 3rd last season. They lost 7 matches.

Quite frankly i've no idea how this season is going to pan out and yes, we have made a poor start again this year but i'm certainly not going to write off my team after one Championship match.

They have improved but to be honest Fax have to beat such teams if they want to finish in the top 3. We are there to be shot at and we know each team will want to beat the Champions. That means Fax need to step up. This is not just down to Matt Calland but also the players have to be up for each game and put the work in for 80 minutes. If anybody thinks Fev will be easy because they have a few out then they better not step on the pitch! Matt Calland gets some criticism some justified. But the players must also look at what they are doing and look at what they individually and as a team need to improve on. Last season was last season and its now what counts. If Fax are to have a good season certain things must change and certain players for me have been here a couple of years and have not impressed. Others are 35 or so and simply the body cant take the punishment at that level as in the past especially a forward.

I'm not worried either Haighy. Weds game at Haven is more important to win than one solitary away fixture in the league for sure. Too many people on here with short memories, anyone remember us getting knocked out of the NRC last year ? We're talking about one league match lost. OK, so there have been positional & personnel changes and I for one would be dis-appointed if the coaching staff started revealing why in the media in the run up to the Fev game, that is one almighty game on the back of the Haven trip. Let's get behind the boys, there's a lot of rugby to be played yet.

Sorry but for me to come away from France without even a bonus point is not good enough especially against a team that recently lost to Keighley and struggled at home to London Skolars and was aparently poor yesterday just we was that bad we still lost to them. Word as it from the south of France that the players where out on friday night whether this is true or not I don't know but they better have not been in the state they was in last night and today what they was last season with a big game at Whitehaven on Wednesday.

Didn't make it this year, but im sure like last time, copious amounts of pastis, bier and laughs would have still made it tolerable.
Its going to be a closer division this year, losing so early means its one less monkey that wont even be getting on our back


Haven is the crunch game for us. If lose that then ill be down, but we also have a lot of players bedding in, so don't be too harsh, this crop might actually end up better that last year given moer time to gel.

Well I am concerned about things. Fax sole tactic it seems is to play off the back of a quick ruck which needs a good go forward from the big lads and a win on the ground but from the few bits I have seen and the team selections up front that is not happening at the moment. Whatever the reasons for players not going to France we really need to get them back in the team for Haven and the season ahead.

All teams have good days and bad days, including Toulouse. Didn't we lose away at Dewsbury last year and go on to win the Championship? Winning in Toulouse would not have meant that this year's Championship was done and dusted, and losing there doesn't mean that our season is over.
