The season as a whole has not been very good but I can easily think of worse season with in the past 10 years! Things are not good but they certainly are not that bad as people want to believe! We have plenty of talent signed up. We have one of the best and most entertaining teams outside SL. We are not in debt and we certainly are not facing administration etc.
For me although there is plenty of negatives this season we are still doing OK and nobody seriously expect us to get in to SL in 2012-although that option is still open. I would like to see changes at Coaching as well as off the field,but I feel there is still much to enjoy and look forward to both this year and next no matter what happens regarding various rumours.

The season hasn't been high fives so far I agree with that. A disaster? A disaster is what happened to Leigh last year. A disaster is what is happening at Whitehaven this year. You people expect too much. You think we are a bigger club than we actually are. You think we're a club that deserves to be better than anyone else? Why? You still think Gartland is running the club? Do you think we can afford professionals in the back office? Get a grip on reality. Lower your expectations - we don't have the financial backing that warrants all of your crap. People make mistakes and we've made a few this year. Move on. With the resources available, I am happy where we are. If you're not, run along to Odsal like the other 4,000 people did and stop bagging those who run the club.

Agree 100% I've said on another thread that England do come first on Sunday, but other than that we all just need to support our team, come what may.

Btw, I don't feel disloyal at supporting England at all, albeit with a round ball, I'm passionate about sport, with Halifax, Yorkshire, England and Great Britain getting my support in appropriate measure.

Im only going on the players we have, which by the way i think is the best set of players in the league, 3rd in the league and not even qualifying for the knock out of the NRC, thats pretty poor for me. In the courier article, it says leaked for a source close to Stanley? This is not the clubs fault, if something has gone on, then surely it’s the clubs duty to investigate, and why the hell would they make public until investigations are clear, if they decided at all to make public, yet this makes the Club the villain! Get real!

Whilst I like Stanley as a player and on the occasion i met him socially and found him to be quite an interesting chap, if he has done something wrong, like any other player he has to be taken to task!

I also note that its Stanley agent who raised the 20 game clause and not Halifax RLFC, all Mike steel said he could not comment.
