How could we possibly be behind Toulouse and Gateshead ?? Get real boys.

They haven't reached a GF or won the NR Cup. With Gateshead's inability to attract fans and financial 'issues', I doubt very much indeed that they'll be considered in the near future.

As for Toulouse, who knows? I'd doubt that France has the depth to support 2 SL at present.

Have you read the thread you tart? That's a club in which everyone is doing their level best to get into super league. Not one that already thinks it's there just cos des says.................

I'm off into the loft to dust off my Micron Videos and Scrumdown collection. Let me see ..... erm,........ Castleford v Halifax: 1986, Wheldon Road seems like a good place to start, followed by a few Canterbury Bulldog matches when Colin Whitfield played for them and then i'll finish it all off with Fax's record loss (88-6 Hull KR Northern Rail Cup from 2006) just to remind myself that i don't follow a club that's always been a country mile ahead of the rest

Or, if you really need a reason to top yourself; watch the B***s 'get out of jail free' game in '97 when they came back from the dead at Thrummers to win. Our last game before going down under to be slaughtered in that cacky World Club Challenge format that didn't work.

Funny you should mention that - was looking on Wiki at those results. Awful, truly awful. As were the attendances. The Brisbane Broncos and Canterbury Bulldogs matches at Thrum Hall should have attracted bigger crowds than three and a half thousand. Shameful.

Wendel Sailor.. what a player... we made him look good im sure! He seemed to go the length of the field up at Thrum Hall either for the Broncos or Kangaroo's (always towards the scratchin shed if I remember rightly)

I went to them all too. One thing that stood out for me against the Broncos before the game started was how small they were up to the Fax team....apart from Tallis and Sailor of course.
