As we were the team the BBC were following during our progress, hopefully they will show a piece about us before the TV game this afternoon.

A photograph of the railway end from the game should be sent to the RL and they should be made to view it every time they drool over Wales, London, France, Tibet etc.....

Well done fax, you played with a lot of heart and skill. Best of luck for the future you might be able to try and get your revenge in superleague one day. Finger crossed.

The Hoff, a cas fan

You are absoutely right, Tiger Bond, Ganson was absolutely awful, certainly allowing Castlefords second try, but then again for allowing Castleford to hold every single tackle that was made. It was so evident that I counted the time it took or tackles. When Castleford made the tackle it took 5, 6 and 7 seconds for us to be allowed to play the ball, and the other way it was 3 to 4 seconds. This is not Castlefords fault, they should do what they can to win he game, it is the fault of GANSON for allowing them to get away with it. I was under the impression that Superleague had tidied this part of the game up.

I noticed this too. Cas constantly had a 3rd man come in and lie on the tackle. If Ganson allows it for both teams this is fair enough which i think he did. I just thought we were a tad too quick at getting off the tackle and could have slowed them down a touch more.

Well done Fax. I expected Cas's full timers to have more in the tank than us for the last 20 mins, but we matched them all the way. An absolutely awesome display.

Every Super league defends like this you must not watch Super league matchs on TV because they been bang in on about all season

I thought we were too quick in getting up in the tackle too. It put us on the back foot a few times during the game. It's probably because in our league we get penalised for things like that.

I hate watching in Super league it bad for the game it slows down and causes injurys aswell it as been brought in since teams started bringing wrestling coaches in to the game.

Well done - cracking performance and a top (if heart stopping) game to watch. I expected to wake up this morning and find I'd gone grey.

Just thinking about the start of the game yesterday.

For the 1st time we started with all our main players fromt he kick off: Black, Penky, Beswick, Smith, Gleese.

Can you imagine the damage they will cause Championship teams if Matt decides to start with these in future (as he said in yesterdays Courier, he didnt want to be behind early in the game as we were last year against the Giants)

well they showed Sherwin's try & missed conversion, then his drop goal. No real mention about us, but it looked magnificent seeing all the Fax fans at the Railway End.

A big shout also to messrs Clay, Steele, Riley, the coaching team, the office staff all the other back room personnel and our many volunteers, not just for last night, but for the way the club has been transformed, both on and off the field in recent months.

We are now a real force to be reckoned with, and judging by the many comments on here from supporters of other clubs, we have made others sit up and take notice.

It is a pleasure to follow the club at the moment and real team efforts like last night make it all worthwhile.

There were people on the terraces last night that I haven't seen for years, lets hope that all the hard work put in so far is enough to encourage them to be regular visitors to the Shay again, both in the coming weeks and the coming seasons!

i think our defense was awful and our pack didn't play anything like they have been, but Fax deserved that yesterday, your willingness and eagerness to get the win was amazing, fast strong and powerful play, your offloading skills and runs from dummy half were just too quick for us to handle yesterday, forget forward passes and knock on from both teams, thats all gone now, be proud of your team who will go far, be proud of your fans who turned out and made the sort of noise all but 2 Super League teams could only dream of.

We are all a little gutted but you mixed it with a good SL team, deserved to win and proved how good you are.

Just be sure you keep it up and get us to a final or two now. You deserve all the plaudits but we aint won owt yet either.

Not so Birstalltiger. I watch all rugby league games on SKY and some do hold down. I have just watched Saints vs Frogs and even though Catalan Dragons are famed for holding down and slowing the play of the ball it was still only a max of 4 seconds between hitting the floor and playing the ball, and at that length of time the ref was telling them to be quicker.
