If true Barlow should tell the club he has signed a contract and is stopping where he is whether Fax want him to go or not. I wouldn't think your coach wants him to go would you

Sam is a professional rugby league player and therefore should of course do what is best for him, but would that be going to Salford? All their fans can talk about is "are we still in business" I can see the wheels falling off at Salford and it`s been coming for some time. If he`s going for a shot at Super League fair play but he might as well stay at Fax as to go over there.

I'd thought that when I saw the name on a shirt initiative that it smelled of let's raise some quick cash but thought it was me being cynical.

Now seeing this thread and the fact that Salford are skint themselves, so doubt they will be throwing mega bucks at us (if true) has got me thinking and slightly worried as to the reason why we'd even think about it if Sam doesn't want to go??? Are we desperate for cash?? Skint??

Only guessing about the Sam issue but what about this as a scenario.

Fax need a number 9.

KH has connections with Salford and enquires about Goddard.

Salford say maybe but we would like to have Barlow involved in the deal something which had not even been thought about at Fax.

One thing leads to another a tempting offer comes to the table and things start to happen and the Sam to Salford switch seems to look likely.(At least in the rumour mill world.)

A short time later the people involved start to give this a bit more thought and the implications become clearer and the pendulum begins to swing in the other direction.

Sam wants to stay............................. deal cools...................................Sam stays.
