The next time we play Featherstone at Featherstone all our party, except my 6 year old grandson will go.
We will arrive in time for a couple of drinks upstairs and leave peaceably WIN OR LOSE afterwards. All I ask is that the police, police Post Office Road as we leave.
When we play Featherstone at the Shay, I expect all Featherstone fans to be there, even the very young, WIN OR LOSE you will be able to enter and leave the ground safely.

| I would like to go back to POR again, but i don't feel it would be safe for my 5 and 10 year old daughters, i for 1 DO NOT blame all fev fans, and i feel sorry for the true supporters as it is just a SMALL section of so called fans (if you can call them that) who are spoiling the great name of your club.
Hopefully things will get sorted and if we meet in the play offs, i will feel safe to come and support my team with my family

| It's a bloody shame that people are a bit apprehensive about supporting their team away from home. I'll be visiting Post Office Road, and I haven't seen any trouble there in my couple of visits. Maybe because we have a good travelling support, I'm not sure. The same goes with The Shay, I feel safe there just as much as I do at any other ground in the Championship.
I hope the two sets of fans can sort out something in soon, because you're just ruining the game for each other.

Go away troll.
The people on both forums, us and fev are nothing but true supporters and are not spoiling anything for anyone, The minority of Idiots that get involved in fighting becuase they can't handle losing or cant handle the booze are spoiling it, I wouldn't generalise and label all fans of either club, neither should you.
as the late great jacko said..........BEAT IT !!!!

| Just wanted to add a few things to this thread. First of all the 2 lads nicked at the game.. The first lad was let out of the car within ten mins of being put their. The second nicked for assault PC was innocent as was prooved yesterday when he was released without charge. I witnessed the whole incident and am mates with the lads involved. They were attacked first and acted in self defense, the tried time and time again to get away hence the fight spilling all the way up station lane. They were chased and attacked time and time again. The problem lies with fev the average ago of the fax lads was about 19 the average age of the fev / lufc idiots was 40. The problem lies with fev. These fax lads watch fax week in week out with no trouble. Fev are a disgrace to RL!

| I think that we are looking at this as a Fev-Fax issue but from what has been said by Leythers and reported by others this is a FEV issue, Fax are not the only fans to have put up with abuse (physical & verbal). I am absolutley sure that it is only a minority that cause the problems, i'm also sure that it was only a minority of Millwall fans that got their club such a bad reputation, but these people must be kicked out of our game and it is up to the real Fev supporters to help with this.

| I agree Norman - However, I and a good mate were personally and provocatively verbally abused last Thursday. What was said to the both of us was aggressive, unnecessary and intimidating. However, my response is just to take the rise out of the aggressor. I can't excuse a violent reaction, but I can see how those comments made to someone else might provoke a reaction!
What I have advocated throughout this thread is, that whilst I accept the over-ridding priority to annul this behaviour lies with a collective approach from Fev and it's supporters, what I have seen, experienced and heard at games v Fax and Leigh is that they too have a problem. Much less of a problem, I acknowledge that, but there too have a number of numpties who shouldn't be anywhere near a ground.

John, It looks like this is the common held view amongst the Fax populus. But the evidence before me that I experienced and saw with my own eyes would suggest otherwise mate.
Fev have the greater task ahead of them - I don't think I've denied that anywhere. But we ALL need to get shut of ALL those physically and verbally aggressive souls who we do not want at games!
How we do that without self analysis I'm not so sure!

An understatement, massively less of a problem.
There is no problem with Fax and Leigh fans and guess what... Blackpool will just prove my point.
This whole incindent with Fev is really bothering me now because Fax fans are becoming tarnished, completely wrong and misguided, the focus should be on Fev fans end of.

| 87 - before the game stood at a burger van - I was verbally abuused in a threatening, provocative and unnecessary manner by a 40+ year old man wearing a fax shirt.
Another mate of mine had a similar story to tell - a different part of the ground, a different aggressor.
How do you equate that??? The provocative nature of the abuse I took is not printable on this forum. I react simply by taking the rise out of the aggressor - BUT, there are people who, if spoken to like that may well react in another manner!
A young man from Halifax has been arrested for assaulting a police officer.
I saw with my own eyes a few fax fans behving in an aggressive and violent manner.
Without arguing over semantics, I will repeat - I know where the greater problem lies. What I just can't process is the denial that some fax fans were guilty of provocation and threatening intimidating behaviour when it happened to me!!
I know we have a real problem. So do the club.
All I am asking is that work is unilateral. We ALL need to work on this. If the head is in the bucket "it was them gov", then the problem remains!

| Enough is enough now RFF, going round in circles, We have not had any other problems that i know of in any other game of this or last season other than you, That says to me there is a problem with the Fev Vs Fax matches, Simple as that, after what happened to Dave singer some people will clearly have there backs up, there is no problem with Fax and Barrow, Barrow and Leigh, Fax and Leigh, yet there was with Barrow Vs Fev, Leigh Vs Fev and Fax vs Fev.
It really is that simple, You carry on with whatever you beleive but if it carries on there will be no club left for you to support as there will be no money coming through the gates and you dont have a bank roller. Either way, i am now past caring what happens to Fev rovers which is a shame as i always wanted a fellow West Yorkshire team to do well.

| Just about sums it up for me too , I used to always hope Fev would do well , heartland club and went through bad times but looked to be turning a corner. But since last year they have had bother not just with our club but others too and I really can`t see the evidence that they have done enough to stop it happening.
I`m sure the decent honest fans and the people who are runing the club have tried to do bits but as is obvious they have not been robust enough . Other clubs have been subjected to it too but unfortunatly for us a lot of our fans were sitting ducks and attacked by a large group from behind.Fighting back , to protect themselves has tarred us with the same brush so wether we deserve it or not we are tainted. I think people at Fev should have put measures in place to stop this hapening and should have paid for police prescence inside the ground . It`s a sad day for all concerned and everyones lost out as the good name of both clubs have been tarnished wether we like it or not.
I would never go to Featherstone again unless I had some cast iron proof from the Fev Club that measures have been put in place to take care of supporters from all clubs.Maybe these measures will be imposed upon them by the RFL , as we await their enquiry , I wish all our fans had stopped at home that night but if it hadn`t happened then it would have been next time.

| This is getting a bit embarrassing for Fax fans now and should all stop now! This was fighting between 2 sets of fans due to the past history and it's not right that one club should take the blame....Fax n Fev should be working together not working against each other so let's stop the bickering NOW!

| At the play off semi last year, us fax fans were goaded and abused after being beaten. It was 'aggressive'. But you put it down to banter. We didn't start leathering said tormentors, because we are not scumbags. We went home and took it out on the Wii.
It's not an excuse for assault. Nor am I saying there was such 'goading' this time. Sad thing is, it wasn't in any way a surprise...well, it was probably a surprise to the teenage fax fans who had their a$$es served to them. 2-0 the Fev hard lads I guess

How do we work together? Earlier this year Featherstone beat us at the Shay, could someone tell me how many Fev fans were goaded into fighting? how many Fev fans left the ground and were spat at and told they "would have their f***ing heads ripped off) See my earlier post.
If we meet in the playoffs at Featherstone, Featherstone fans will continue to make problems. When we meet at the Shay Featherstone fans will have the same reception they had earlier this season.
After all, Fev sing "wan"y wan"y Halifax throughout the game, we sing "championies"
Which is most offensive?
Just a thought.

Rotherham Fev Fan.
Look I don't doubt you, you say you were abused at the Burger van.
We entered the ground quite early, mixed with both sets of fans. Went upstairs to the bar. took our places at our end. Being a greedy B"gger about ten mins before half time I went to get a burger, mingled with both sets of fans and then before half time took my place in Fevs end. never saw, heard or felt violence, abuse or intimidated. Watched the game, went for a wee, behind the stand. Never saw any trouble.
Final whistle. celebrate a win, what 20 mins, walk to the car, what 10 mins. drive through the car park. Fighting. 30 mins after the game. So where Fev fans waiting for us to leave.
Driving down Post Office Road, youths running towards the ground, not even been to the game, abusing us as we left.
"Fans" spitting at us "I'll rip your f""ckin head off" 6 year old Grandson crying in the back of the car.
I'd say a bit of p"iss taking at the burger bar was small in comparison.
And Chris Taylor? Your right, it's not worth discussing is it?
