From what I have seen this season the only forwards I would keep would be 3 who have been injured for much of it in Calcott, AOB, and Douglas. I'm on the fence about Matty Gee, rest can be moved on for mine.

Who is the other player off to Bradford besides Keyes? Hopefully not Woody or Jouffret.

Gee is the other one , woody I believe is contracted for another year , whispers of jouffret heading back home especially with the departure of Keyes .

Mick gledhill needs slapping ( but he would probably enjoy it ) I was feeling a bit more upbeat with us getting a few decent lads in . Really struggling not to unleash a volley of abuse at that Roly from grange hill blobendale.

In connection with that it’s another marker to assess our BoD with, whilst I don’t care they’ll know that others will be less than happy to see players leave and it’s if and who they are replaced with that will tell the story and set the short to medium term goals / future of the club which at best will be Championship or at worst Championship 1 rugby short, medium and long term for us anyway.

As above pretty undecided over Gee. 2 seasons back would have said he was a must keep, last season he was way off that form and has been hit and miss this season. Without judging the new players as we have not seen any or enough of them, I reckon we could count on 1 hand which players we should be trying to keep hold of.

Problem we have got is if there's a high number of our players already going elsewhere and no doubt others retiring, will they have the desire for the rest of this season. Based on performances so far, I don't think they have from game 1.

The old school from this group have gone passed their sell by date as an effective team and the time for wholesale changes is overdue anyway.

If we can beat the drop that could be one of the good things to come out of it all.

Correct, we're 2nd bottom for a reason. A big clear out is needed but i would definitely keep Joe Keyes and Matty Gee.

From the pack im with Greg with just the 3 he named i would be looking to keep plus i would like to see Ben hursey get a run of games to see if he is up to the job. In the backs Woody Jouffret Keyes and Crooks if he can stay fit would be the only ones i would keep. Then just wait and see how the new lads go.

The ever reliable Mick Gledhill says we have signed Ronan Dixon from Dewsbury for next year. And we was close to signing Jimmy Becket too before Fev came in with a bigger offer. And finally Barrow have resigned Greg Worthington in time for saturday i heard a rumour we was trying to sign him earlier in the year.

I would have kept him but it was Finns decision not to retain him which was largely based on stats from playing as a centre !!??

Just a quick update , a mix of rumour and rumour , Keyes n gee off to Bradford, Charlie graham signed for next season , we’ve signed ronan Dixon and Brad graham from dewsbury, dick gledhill reported another from dewsbury and one from Sheffield, if it’s Curtis Davies I won’t attend again , same if it’s Tyler Dickinson, only players remaining from them clubs I would be interested in is ollie greensmith and Bayley lu . We ve enquired about Riley dean and James meadows . Dick gledhill reported we’re making cut backs , where is lee Harvey Oswald When you need him .

Not sure on MG’s “cut backs” assessment, more like spending less and closer to previous years than this season where we spent more.

A lot of current players are either moving on or retiring and some of the early recruitment seems to be aimed at guys who have some ability at the lower end of the market but we will need a fair few incomings for next year and some of them must be a the right quality.

Not having GW’s wages will save a substantial amount and both Keyes and Gee will add to that.

Based on rumour of incomings and outgoings, it probably shows where we are at re our spending ability. Recruiting from the team who are favourites to yo yo back to league 1 is indicative of the quality we can afford.....then again they may end up being top quality..... at the level we could end up playing at next year.

Pons and Hantz have both left the club after there trails, we could do with replacing them.
