Im going to refrain from saying much until after watching the video, but the game went as I thought it might, we were better than them in the forwards and they had a bit too much for us in the backs but only just.

Also is it only me but Leigh seem to be the only team who have a problem with Manning, Ive never heard another teams fans say anything about him where as you could roll the Leigh pack's names out week after week. Maybe its to make up for their inadequacies as players they feel the need to do what they do. I said before the game that if Leigh do not get promoted this season it will be to do with how much better their backs are compared to their forwards, IMO they really need to make some improvements in that area.

My disappointment today was my mate Sam.
Regular readers will know I support Sam on here many times, however, I can forgive him for mouthing -rs at us, I can for give him for pointing at the scoreboard, (although to be fair he had very little influence on the result) but I can not forgive him for what he did when substituted.
FEV supporters said he did it at Blackpool and we said, never happened, today it did.
I hope it is captured on camera, Sam I understand you frustration at the hand of some of our supporters, supporters, I don't understand your animosity to Sam, but Sam, that action today was inexcusable.

Were you though? When we didn't give away penalties you struggled to get out of your own half. Luckily for you we were very forthcoming with penalties and turned over the ball in our own half countless times too. You contained our pack well for most of the game which was impressive but your pack didn't trouble us much either. You had the better territory and possession due to our errors and indiscipline, not because of your pack. If your pack was anywhere near as good as you made out you wouldn't have lost 6 matches.

Bloody roid heads.

We had best tell our players not to accept penalties or give the ball back when you drop it. So we had more of the game but didnt get the better of you in any department?



Regards Moi Moi, I thought he was probably their best forward today(some of them are stealing wages) although I did hear a rumour that he was lying on so long that one of our players could be pregnant.

I would say your discipline was better than ours (until things exploded at the end) your handling was much better and your kicking game was better. Thought Ben Heaton was fantastic too and I have never really rated him in the past.

Probably not too far off, although I did say in the first half you looked very slick with the ball but there seemed to be too much lateral movement which Ive not really seemed to see from Leigh and they seemed to be in a rush to get the ball out wide without doing the hard work to earn those opportunities. Maybe that had something to do with our pack though........

Sorry Greg but Manning must be made of Teflon, how on earth he got away without being reprimanded after the brawl is anyone's guess, he was involved in three separate brawls and one point and came in throwing punches from behind when the second one started up with Acton. Doesn't disguise our staggering lack of discipline when the whole thing kicked off from us conceding a penalty while in possession, but both sides were as bad as each other and no doubt will be facing the consequences at Red Hall in ten days.

With regards to the rugby match that occasionally threatened to break out, I thought Fax played a cracking game down the middle and the kicking game was far superior to ours. Was a very soft try for us to concede in the second half and maybe Fax need that little bit more quality in the final third given how much territory and possession you had, but arguably it was a better visiting performance over the 80 minutes than Bradford came up with on the opening day.

Of all the Fax team only Saltonstall would get into the Leigh team , I've heard rumours he's not happy with losing pay at Fax , whereas the Leigh player's don't know how much losing pay is.

A typical cracking game for me between Leigh and Fax with the result still in the balance right up to the end.

It included all that seems to go with these games recently for good and bad which both sides contributed to, never a dull moment that's for sure.

Yes, we had an off day, Charlie. But that's twice we've had one against 'Fax. Credit where it's due - 'Fax played well against us, again, in entirely different conditions.
