OK Mr. Abbott, you put your money where your mouth is & tell this club and it's disgruntled majority of supporters how you now intend to stand your statement of getting 10,000 regular supporters through the Shay gates.

I'm all for the B.O.D. playing the game with the RFL, they prove time & time again through history how difficult they can make things for clubs who rebel, but for them to ask us to back down is nothing short of selling us down the river I.M.O.

If it wasn't for my love of this club i wouldn't be watching professional RL after some of the things that have gone on over the licencing period, and more recently to be precise. In all honsety, I get my fix of RL at various levels watching junior & amateur games, so basically I'm only still in it to support my hometown team right now.

I hate the hypocrosy, the lies, the cover ups, the transparency that they spin us, I've even started disliking the likes of Wood, Rimmer, Hetherington & Lewis judging them without actually having known most of them !!! Just disliking them for what they represent. Our game is shambolic.

Sounds like the RFL have put their foot down and pressured your board to come out with that statement and guaranteed you a place next time round as has already been stated. It's all cobblers because everybody knows you should have been in this time!

If only the RFL were as transparent as the statements they issue !

Seems that way mate, the RFL are a disgrace. The thing now is are fax fans going to tow the line as wakey fans now seem to be doing or are they going to carry on with the protest / action group.Wakey fans were up in arms about the disgraceful licence system the other week, now it seems to be ok. the game is full of self centredness and i hate it, if it wasnt for rovers i would never watch a game again. Another action could be urge all championship fans to boycott the 4 nations and not pay for a ticket, hit the bstds were it hurts

Bloody hell, you get 2 chances to get there pal and the form your team are in i would find it rather difficult to back against it being a Leigh Fev final............................However playoff rugby is exactly what it says on the tin and with players with the right attitudes and a bit of luck anything can happen.

Guaranteed nothing, from what I read into the TV interview. Fourteen teams was too much for Big Ears,12 even 10 muted by the better SL teams sounded right for them. Soon the 12-10 SL teams will have to vote themselves 4 votes apiece to 1 for the lower leagues. For Gods sake I hope that never happens, I certainly do'nt want all those "former"SL fans, thinking they've been hard done to ,starting a rival group against the RFL and wanting the CC&CC1 clubs to help the RFL ,to change their minds and get them back into the Holy Grail from which they came. At least the lower leagues will be vibrent unless most of the demoted clubs can't manage on 300,000 SC, and go "belly up".

Silly, I call it downright dishonest to tell you the truth. Widnes should have been in 3 yrs ago but they were kept out by a club that blatently cheated , broke the law by employing all those foreign players , moved their ground to nearer the heartland clubs (which was the opposte of why they were given a liscence, ) went bust , didn`t pay their players, all this under the watchful eye of the RFL.Is anyone going to tell me that Widnes were not cheated last time and if they had gone in 3 yrs ago they couldn`t do better than that ?
Plus we get them back in the Champ` comp with no traveling fans plus it would not surprise me if they are not given parachute payment plus extra cap but I hope I am wrong.

no its not. our application was good enough because it was good enough, not because the club stuck to the RFL line for three years.

ha,ha, i have been watching Rovers 35 years and never take nothing for granted, in fact in that time i have thought about writing a book titled "Featherstone Rovers how to fk a big game up". Rovers are winning well but we arnt firing on all cylinders yet, were not playing right and i just cant put my finger on where the problem is, were not flowing like last season

Crusaders were put in instead of you, are you saying that you would not have fared better than Crusaders , who went bust , didn`t pay players , moved nearer to the heartlands when they got in as an expansion club , employed illegal players against the law of the land and that is just what we know about.All under the watchful eye of the RFL the expansion policy is another thing we are challenging , they have made a total cock up of it.

With disgraceful Mr Fax Blog last week (you fans aren't intelligent enough to be told whats going on.) and now this statement from the BoD, I have decided not to renew my season ticket. Its a personal choice, I don't want to give them any of my hard earned money at the moment.

I'm on hols at the mo' and had to watch the game on Sky.

What a cracking game, and I was literally on the edge of my seat for the whole game.

Ok, the skill factor doesn't always match hopes and expectations (albeit nightmare conditions in the 2nd half), but a real cracker in terms of drama, commitment and real sporting achievement.

The real joy on the Fax players faces as the final hooter sounded said it all.

We need to become more professional as a club (behind the scenes), build some junior teams (see my other post), and get crowds comfortably above the 3,000 mark (see Richie's post), and then we're at least a match for the other "C" grade clubs.

We're close, but not that close.

I reckon we're in a battle with Leigh over the next 3 years for the 2015 spot.

After what's gone on, I'm turning my back on all rfl apart from fax. I go to wembley, the grand final, all internationals. After idiot abbots statement, I was considering my support of fax. That game reminded me why I support fax, and always will. We are a unique club, and will NEVER be defeated.

Never give up on the Club because that is the most important thing and the lads did well tonight. I too will no longer attend any RFL event unless it involves my own team Fax and for the rest of the garbage that has gone on I will just say this.I have supported Fax since 1953 and I have seen a lot of players come and go ,a lot of fans come and go, staff come and go and directors come and go.But thankfully we still have a team to follow.
