Organised sit in at the end of a game? Half Time Pitch demonstration like the one at Thrum Hall a few years ago?

We need to do something, organised and together - to show the RFL that they can't treat lower league clubs this badly.

Great post. Exactly my point. This whole process turns fans against each other. Until today, I had nothing against wakey, in fact I could relate to them and their fans. There are many similarities between our clubs. Now I resent wakey. That isn't what rugby league is about.

It needs to be at our next televised game and needs to be well thought out and well organised. Needs to be something that is impossible for the Sky cameras to ignore, where they have to focus on it no matter what. Would be cool to delay the kick off with people on the pitch with the clubs and players agreement but without Sky getting wind of it so it delays their broadcast.

Well you will be doubly pleased the BOD let us down badly in the application in the first place as it was full of holes and to compound that a Director is only making it worse so if all this is true, be happy.
Fev will undoubtably do a much better job and will be treated completetly fairly by the RFL.

Maybe you should look at how the club projects its image.

Very good thread this, i quite enjoyed the start where halifax "should consider our legal options". Given the Sam Barlow-Sheffield farce last year, that was quite funny. But thats old hat now.

I actually sympathise a little with Fax on this one, under the terms of the RFL licence guidelines that they themselves laid out, your application beats Wakefield's hands down. Your solvent (just), have finally finished the stadium and have achieved on the pitch.

For me licencing is a good idea, but the RFL are not even sticking to their own rules regarding it. Thats the big problem here.

It isn't the time to ' act ' , it's the time to all sit down together and work out how we [ the clubs are going to improve the Championships [ both of them to the level that in future clubs cannot be refused a fair tilt at the top tier

I'm with you on this, the clubs need to work together on this.
I think in and among the comments made yesterday by Mr Steele there had been a few phone calls from concerned directors of other clubs that felt that they way Halifax had been treat was ominous for them as well so it could happen.

Whatever you say, have you checked with the RFL to see if they agree with you.

The insolvency criteria was removed months ago, well before the applications were submitted. Performance on the pitch in the Championship is a criteria to be allowed to [iapply[/i for entry to SL, not one used to judge whether a club should be admitted. Facilities I'll give you.

Without seeing both applications I don't see how you can so confidently assert that one beat the other 'hands down'.
