We haven't looked convincing all season, the 3 games we won were against poor sides on their day.

Heres my view of players today & their season so far

Royston - An improver from last season
Worrincy - Improver, but still a headless gormless chicken at times
Haley - Takes a high ball well - thats it.
Paterson - Very Poor, lucky he took up kicking goals last season, or he would prob be back at Rochdale now
Goddard - Been hyped up since he left Cas,hasn't lived up to his "star" billing, tackling shocking again today
Beswick - Poor
Black - Unfit
Azuie - Getting better, but a liability, too many handling errors
Penkywicz - Sharper this year
Wrench - Consistent
Larder - Father time catching up with him, NL1 quality now
Bannister - Get rid now
Roberts - Worst form ive seen him in, wasn't good at Leigh by all accounts
Tamghart - Solid this year, but he gives too many penalties away
Bowman - Calland doesn't seem to have faith in him as playmaker, not proven yet, so can't comment on his season as of yet
Gene - His attacking game not structured
Watene - Solid start to season
Cherryholme - Bet hes teetotal, so won't fit in Callands "bonding" clubs
Gleeson - Best player at club at moment
Branighan - Gives 100%, seems other players can't read him though
Maloney - Puts the work in

What annoys me though is the squad are not gelling, and all we are doing is off the cuff rugby, its not structured & its sloppy, and I'm tired of it, its down to the coaching staff, Calland & Co need to go, things need to be freshened up.

Any new fans to the game today for the East Stand won't be coming back in a hurry, especially paying £15-£18 to watch rubbish, we're out of the Northern Rail cup and the wheels are falling off.

The board of directors have to act now, they've lost enough revenue, fans will start staying away unless something is done.

I thought it was a marvellous game. Our play was outstanding at times. Black and Beswick ran the show all over the park. But - sometimes you have to have a bit of luck and today's was Leigh's turn as they pipped it at the end. Great effort from the lads. I'm very optimistic about the Easter fixtures. We'll be top by the 8th April. I think choosing the Challenge Cup and League over the NRC will turn out to be a masterstroke by Matt & Martin.

I think that one went a bit over your head.

I'm not going for the knee-jerk reaction of calling for Calland's head, nor am I going to be a defender of his anymore. It was his and the players chance to turn things round today and show we aren't as fragile as we were last year, and what do we do?.....

When we went on our slump last year and couldn't create anything who did we have at half back? Penky and Black. Who we our half backs today? I rest my case. Our only points came when Penky went into dummy half where he should ALWAYS be.

The players look absolutely shot of something, maybe its a deju vu of the players playing Linnane out, I don't know. What I do know is, out of my 17/18 years of supporting Fax I can't remember two games where we have played so devoid of any ideas, passion, desire and honesty. I'd have felt robbed if I paid to get in today, I still won't get my 5 hour round trip back neither.

Something has to change in the on-field side of things (players and coaches), and quickly.

Yes he has done great things for this club, but it's time for him to move aside IMO.

He does make some silly decisions like playing Black today, when he was clearly injuried! Signs of an inexperienced coach.

And it did stand out today, how far Leigh have come under Millward. Look around, clubs like Batley and Leigh, bring in a quality coach and boom sucess.

Huge respect for Calland though.

For me Calland needs to get down to the touchline once in a while and show some enthusiasm rather than standing at the top of the stands all game.

I’m not one for calling for the coaches head usually, however as has been said earlier has he taken us as far as he can.

If you ask me I see it this way, last season we had gone through a major recruitment drive, for the first half of the season the players won games through sheer individual talent, then as they fell into the routine at fax be it whatever it is they started to lose their individual ability and thats when your coaching comes in, and thats when it showed a problem, so by the time it got to the end of the season we had players who were neither coached but had also lost their individual ability which had made us look so good first half of last season, we just scraped through into the grand final, got hammered by Barrow in the semi when it looked like it was boys against men, and now this season we have continued from last season, scraping a win against batley and widnes does not mask things, even in them games we looked poor and they were scrappy wins.

Now we are left with a team who have no idea and do not know what comes next, last season especially the 2nd half our defence was woeful, this season its just as bad, apart from a good run against sheffield on our own line for a few set of sixes if I remember.

Calland was on the Radio saying that the 17 was the only 17 we had fit. Well what I cant understand is why have we NO Dual Reg or Loan players? Every other club has. Why do we have such a small squad. Why no reserves team to keep players fit. Why was Gene not at 6 and Beswick at 13 and Penky at 9? Gene has a lot of experience at 6. Beswick is crap at 9 and way better at 13 and Penky is best at 9 and sadly cant play 6. I just do not understand the way we are doing things. Maybe somebody else can explain the decisions.

That wouldn't have happened twenty year ago - when players only got paid for playing. Does anyone remember Karl Harrison (random example for a workhorse) taking so much sick time? I know the game has got more intense but sometimes the commitment from players is lacking. Cavill Heugh with a hangover played twice the game that our lot did today.

I get the impression that the talent is there in the team and they are all trying too hard. Trying to score off every play, running around like headless chickens and not defending as a team.

Look at the squad we have. The team that we put out today should have put plenty on Leigh. Injuries don't cut it for me. Which other players would you bring in that could improve things?

The team is too dependant on superstar playmakers who are not playing with each other and it seems we have too many playmakers on the field at any one time. 13 for me is a position that should be a runner, not a pivot and should look and run like a forward.
