We could play fev 30 times this season and we wouldn't beat them once. They are by far and away the best team in this league this year. Outstanding.

Bannister not a centre, was pretty anomynous tonight,
Nash needs to play the basics when needed
Watene had too many brain farts and wasn't his dominant self
Tamghart looked rusty after his lay off.

Too many errors on the back of a well beaten pack tonight.


I was pleased to see Azuie go well & hope he keeps his spot in front of the home fans next week.

I still think we can beat either Barrow or Sheffield next week with the team we have though.
Lets hope I'm not storming out in anger next week after Jamie Rooneys winning drop goal!

But we do get nearer to them on a flat field, so we need to do the business next week and then "payback"

Awful night. And to make things worse we ended up near the Fev 'Barmy Army' consisting of 16 year olds drinking WKD and shouting "lets go f'ing mental". Not a good night at all.

Funnily enough, I don't get bored watching Featherstone...

Can't knock the effort tonight. Fev better side on night. I do think injuries will mean we won't go any further. 5 props in tonights team plus 2 second rows in the centres , shad , Luke struggling . Will we have 17 players for next week ? Big fear of mine all season were the lack of backs we've got. Imperative next season we have more outside backs. We were lucky for most of the season - just a shame we are now decimated when it matters most.

like last year they will be up for next weeks game.

Just hope we can cobble 17 together for next week...

well, the news i heard from the dressing room after the match was no serious injuries - said took 17mins to come round apparently

Thank you. Your absolutely correct I didnt. I think we lost because:

a) Our defence leaves holes all over the place, and it has done for a good couple of seasons now
b) We made too many mistakes and failed to take our chances in the second half
c) Featherstones defence was pretty solid and they continually won the ruck
d) Feathersone use their slope to a great effect, and why wouldnt they. We just do not seem to cope with it very well.

All I said was that we played them a lot closer on a flat pitch and if we are given the chance to face them once again this season we should make it a closer competition and given the rub of the green could come away with the win.

That said, no compacency here, we have a very stiff job to do next Thursday before we can contemplate a re-match.
