| It's been coming for the last couple of weeks and at last it happened.
Taking our chances early got us off to a good start, was backed up with a some good defence and we played for the full eighty.
Fev were unusually clueless at times and lacked leadership but even so to put over 40 points on them at POR is a big result, if ST had anything like his kicking boots on then there was another 10 points that wouldn't have sailed wide of the posts.
This will give the lads a real shot in the arm but it's time for feet on the ground and keep it going next week.

| What a superb effort tonight we really did deserve the win and the score line did not flatter us at all we played some superb rugby, at last a full eighty minutes and we beat a side who were before the game above us.
Its a huge win as whilst its still going to be tough getting 4th at least we still have a chance, had we lost it was game over!
Keep it going lads and I must say no trouble from their fans which was good to see.

| Outstanding Fax. In previous years, I'd have said no chance, this year, things seem different. Likewise, next week, this year, I now have every confidence we will win well.

| Thought that new prop of theirs from Aus was gonna rip it up? Only thing should be ripped up is his contract. We fondly nicknamed him Turnstyle. 8 minutes he lasted from kick off then appeared with 10 minutes to go. I thought Dane Neyrinxxxx was bad, jeez who was this guys agent he deserves a medal.

| Fantastic result and good to hear no trouble during or after the game. Need to kick on now and build up that winning confidence and mentality.Need to be professional and do a job on Hunslet Rhinos next up then the next huge game is Dewsbury away. Win those two then we really have stepped up.Winners are grinners

| About time, we have easily been the most consistent part time team in the league when it has come to playing the top teams and we just have to start getting over the line when playing teams like Fev and Sheffield. If we can do that we will finish 4th and even 3rd would not be out of the question. Some of the players from last season look totally different players this year, just look at Heaton and Kaye and we are playing quality rugby. Just need to start getting the crowds back now.

Not sure which highlights package they watched which made Fev fans think he was going to rip it up but even the one on youtube suggested he wasnt as good as he was made out to be. I bet Fev are paying him at least twice as much as we are paying Mitch.

| Can't see us getting 3rd to be fair and 4th is going to be are ally big ask but if we keep the attack up then it's certainly a possibility. Defence has been pretty good all year except Seagulls but attack has misfired too often, hopefully this is now where it's turned round.

| You did indeed gingdong. Lets hope things are moving on now. Thanks for your sporting commentary on how you think Fax are doing. It's been coming for a while now and sport has a funny habit of turing itself around and for once it could be we start slowly and finish strongly. Still some key games to come but with Dewsbury dropping a point at home today, London pulling off a win against Leigh and Fev still having a game in hand then it really is starting to hot up for that 4th spot. Love it.

| Great weekend for Fax. Hopefully a few of the fair weathers are now gonna come back and give us a try again.
Interesting weekend for the league, London improving too, I hope the media can give this developing scene some good exposure.

| Don't come on the forum too often but thought I must comment on Saturday's great win.
The overall performance was better than I have seen for a long time, much better than the two games against the Bulls and Wildcats in the cup this season.
The partnerships between Murrell/Craven - Tyrer/Saxton and Potts/Heaton really look to have improved our attacking options.
You can see the improvement from week to week which is credit to Richard and the coaching staff, we graved for performances like this during the previous management structure but it wasn't to be.
Going forward we have four place in our own hands now on the basis of if we can beat Sheffield and London at home I think we could do it. London are the threat as they have a soft end of season fixture list having to play all four bottom teams and therefore to lose at the Shay would be crucial to Fax getting fourth spot.
It would be good for Richard to have some extra cash to spend on players for next season and built a team capable of reaching even higher up the league.
I am still buzzing from Saturday night and long may it continue.

| Good win for Halifax, you could see who was more up for it right from the warm ups.
Looking back, Fev should have postponed this game. There's a serious D&V virus running through the squad and most of the lads playing were not up to the task.
Not making excuses, you can only beat what's in front of you.
Makes the race for fourth very interesting now.

Makes good viewing.
Tyrer offside for the first try though and by some distance. I did say that i liked that ref.
The break at the end of the first half showed what we are all about. We just got around them so easily at times.
Craven looked quality all the game and should have had a penalty after his early break in the second half when the tackle was completed, if the tackle is not completed then in theory you can draw someone as far as you want as long as they are moving but still its clearly a drag in to touch rather than a push.
Murrell's reaction when Fev score, again plenty of fight in this team and when someone is not putting it in they will get called on it and then up their game.
What a pass from Ben Heaton.
I didnt really see it at the time but what a pass from Tangata, as technically sound as you will see, take the drive and then he is looking at the guy behind Mitch when he slips the pass. Very very silky. Given he has been reduced to water boy for most of the season he could have easily have taken his bat and ball home but he has been given a chance and is taking it with both hands. Hes had a little bit of stick on here so its nice to see him getting a run and going about proving people wrong much the same as Kaye and Heaton have done.

Excellent post.Look at Murrell's reaction at the finish to see what it mean't.Impressed with Scott this season he had gone soft and stale under KH but RM has envigorated
him although i bet we won't be giving many 4 year contracts again...

It sure would! We had 'em inside out. A couple of Tommy's tries looked like carbon copies of Rovers tries at The Shay earlier in the season. Proves we are learning! Sportsman, shudds Mallinsons Cascade Waimea 4.0 % Mmm!

Pete ,the Carolis have just arrived back from London, very tired and mi owd feet are killing me,you are right though very poor performance from Leigh on Sunday , London were so much the BETTER team, and we played very much below par ,I know London winning doesn't help Fax ,but London are a decent team.
From a personal point the trip was great though we celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary with a West End show, a nice Hotel and a few members of the Caroli Clan accompanying us ,only 35 minutes by plane to Heathrow, only the games result was disappointing, I've been expecting a defeat for a bit now though.Fax had a GREAT win at Fev , I hope you can kick on now but don't underestimate London.Hope to see you soon.Charles.

We should have beaten them down there earlier this season without a doubt. I said at the time that I hoped those two lost points wouldn't come back to bite us but that's gone now. I still say we probably can only afford to lose one more game if we're going to claim a top four finish. The Junction shudds. Copper Dragon Golden Pippin 3.9 % Mmm!
