Really hope he pulls through, and that they catch whoever did this can safely say its not a nice feeling been a fev fan when things like this happen.

Yep same here, poor lad had one of the best days of his life ruined but hopefully he will pull through and can then start to celebrate with the rest of us.

Spoke to Daves dad today.Still to early to say extent of injuries and still in a coma.They will look to awake him soon.But its a delicate process.The family wish to thank everybody for the kind words and thoughts.The family do not want to make a big thing about what happened or people to think bad of Featherstone or its fans.

I will keep saying my prayers for him mate.

Hoping to god that Dave pulls through. Don't feel we can fully celebrate our win whilst one of our own is unable to celebrate with us. Some come on mate, let's see you back with us soon leading the celebrations. And let's all focus our energies on that, and leave the other stuff to the police.

Hope to god dave pulls through,know him really well from the football and cant believe just after the game i was talking to him asking him if he was coming to liquid for the after party and he was really looking forward to it. Hope he makes a full recovery and would be great if he could make it to the presentation at shay on monday but its a long shot.

Mark sadly we are talking likely months rather than days in hospital especially considering its the head that took such a beating.But its still way too early for any doctor to say how things will be and how long etc.

I'm sure whenever his recovery is complete, this young fellow will be most welcomed back, not only at Halifax but also at Warrington.

The reason many of us watch RL is because fans can mix without all the trouble you get at soccer. An incident like this is bad for RL as a whole.

So glad this wasnt true, i heard it from word of mouth today and felt gutted, cant say it enough that i hope the person or persons are brought to justice.
