My favorite bit from the whole day yesterday was half way through the second half the Fev Fans were singing Championes Championes etc etc .......It took me right back to the same time LAST year when they was singing the same thing !!!!! oh how I laughed

Fev rarely had to get out of second gear and yet still posted 40 odd points.
Best team, best coach won hands down.
The play got worse as the weather did.

The worst incident (including the punch up when at least everyone was stood face to face) was when Stringer kneed Tommy Saxton in the ribs from a great height as he lay on the floor.

Tackle complete going nowhere and done deliberately that sort of thing makes me sick, the games hard enough, gone down big time in my estimation Mr Stirnger.

They haven't half. From the moment we took the field in the Hunslet friendly in January - the team/club had the goal of putting last years final behind them and doing the job right this time.
Did you see the face on Tim Spears when he scored?? No smile - just completely focussed on the job.

I thought Spears was outstanding yesterday, it seems to me he very rarely gets a mention but always does a good job when he plays.

Not being unkind to Sheffield but there would not be one player from them that you would want to swap for a Fev player.

D P seems to be able to get the best out of individuals and to mold them into a team playing as a unit.

Last year I had a really good natter with him at the Wakey / Cas game and I really rate the bloke as a person and a coach.

fev will be even stronger next year though bob and winning the grand final will no doubt make them tougher to beat next year. losing a few players like we did last year but with who we are signing as well its gonna take one hell of a team to stop us winning any more trophies next year

I'm made up we're champions. It feels fantastic and we've had a fabulous weekend - but It'll take a while to get over losing that one last year in the manne we did owd cock!

Spot on there F4L. Seasons over and done with. Both coaches are trying their hardest to assemble the best squads they can. Who will be the best, i've certainly no idea. I do agree with those who feel it'll be you and us fighting it out at the top. Your biggest problem, if it is a problem is how will so many new players go, and how long will it take them to gel. Anyway like ya say, new season new challenges.

That's how see it, in another post I said I thought Fev were ahead down the team development road as the club and DP have been carfully building and getting better each year for the past 3 or 4 seasons.
Fax although they have retained some of their squad and having so many new players and a new coach will as you say take some time to gel.
Lets hope the winter is not to hard as not to interupt pre season.
A long few months to wait now before we can get back to it

Could always wait a few games into the season and go to spain on a "training camp"...
