What I find puzzling about the 9 spot is the club knew well in advance that BK would not be here next year and yet no one in yet.
Brandon has the potential to go far in the game but he’s still a young man with a lot to learn who can’t do it all on his own and will likely miss some games due to injuries and suspensions.

Give over, Beswick is 35 next month he's definitely not the answer.

The obvious answer would be just to have 1 hooker and let Moore play the full 80 minutes. We have Davies as a back up although I don't expect him to get much of a look in and if we sign another hooker we may as well get rid and save another wage. The wage saved by bringing in another experienced hooker that we don't really need could go towards bringing in a good half back or a much needed centre.

Brandon then gets injured we will be left with Davies or have no one in a crucial position.
Making do at 9 and any compromise round the play the ball, ruck speed etc will compromise the entire attack which has been not exactly been setting the league on fire plus impact on the defense down the middle.
If nothing actually happens and or is forth coming from the club then we will have to see who wears the shirt in preseason.

Much of the complaints about our attack have been about slow ball coming out of the acting half back so I’m perplexed that anybody would think we can run with just one hooker. Remember when we had Beswick, Gleeson and Penky, somebody similar to any of those three would be wonderful but we definitely need a backup/support for Brandon.

Bulls fan in peace. Regarding hooker I see its been rumoured you're going to D/R with the Giants. They have a young hooker there called Reiss Butterworth who they signed from us last season. He's behind AOB & Kruise Leeming so I wonder if the thinking that Butterworth spends the season on DR with yourselves. Obviously there is a risk that it only takes an injury and the Giants then take him back whenever they like leaving you short.

But he was very highly rated at the Bulls, played a few times for Batley this year too I think.

Also rumours of Leeming going to Leeds.

Still think Bob Beswick could of done a good job for us at 35. Widnes just signed a good hooker. Looks a area we might struggle in . Quick ball is what is needed. We looked a different team when we had Adam O Brien on loan.

Going to be a fun season. London, Fev and Toulouse looking strong. Leigh fans probably disappointed so far with their signings, really thought they would go for it this season but they will probably strengthen mid season when it looks like they will miss out on the top 2. Widnes and York probably not strong enough to break in the top 3 which probably leaves us hoping for 7th at best.

Do you really think London are looking strong GFB? Look at the players they have lost...Abdull, Yates, Pitts, Walker, Gee, Hellewell, Mason, Kear, Williams, not sure about Ioane and Cunningham but most of their quality from last year has gone. Walters and Curran are good signings but to me on paper they look weaker than when they were in the Championship 2 years ago. I think Ward will need to be an even bigger magician this year to have them challenging for top 2.

Also, I originally thought York might regress this year having won so many tight games in 2019 but they look to have recruited well. I wouldn't rule them out from being top 3 contenders with Ford still at the helm.

I agree compared to 2 years ago London don't look as strong but in my opinion that London team would have won the league this season with games to spare. I think even though the overall quality in the championship is up, I think that is more to do with the lower teams been more competitive rather than the top teams getting better(barring Toronto).
