Much of what TA said was what? I was at the same meeting and only the pay day loan was not true, the rest was what the folk of Halifax often do not recognise is AMBITION.

Sorry but were [iyou[/i at the same meeting? He said that he'd discussed things in detail with the Halifax Town directors, something they near-instantly denied. He also stumbled when asked where the money was coming from, despite some 'in the know' on here saying he'd previously said that external finance wouldn't be needed. He said that full plans had been submitted to the council, yet the council - under a FOI request - said they'd received one sheet of paper. Then on top of this we have Steele saying he knew that someone had bid to buy the Shay but that he didn't know who - the claim just isn't credible.

TA said in August that the sale of the Shay was a matter of weeks away. Bubba said in October that the sale wouldn't happen. Who has been proved right?

The whole thing stinks, right up until the recent home friendlies that never were. Taking us all for mugs.

If the club paid the rent tomorrow then all (most?) criticism would stop. Perhaps had a promise to pay by 31/12 not been made then the criticism wouldn't have been as vocal. But the club obviously can't afford to pay and every month that goes by the situation gets worse.

Perhaps it is me who has my head in the sand after all.

Town Trolls stick out like a sore thumb on this site. Their posts reek of stupidity, historical jealousy and utter desperation. Given their own club's recent history of financial meltdown and utter oblivion you'd think that they'd steer clear of baiting another organisation with fictitious financial stories but no, not one bit of it. Pontificating from their not so lofty perch adds a somewhat incredulous lump of hypocrisy to the whole glut of nonsense posted on here.

What does an IP address have to do with anything? You realise that if rlfans.com or staff member/volunteer provided any information to a 3rd party without a user's (or court's) authority, that they'd be breaking the Data Protection Act. This carries a fine of up to £500,000 and in itself could be a criminal offence carrying a custodial sentence.

Besides, a user's IP address usually changes every time the modem or router is power-cycled. So your attempts to sound threatening just sound pathetic really.

It's funny how those who question the current situation are assumed to be soccer fans, with the site's admin firmly taking that view as well. How about you allow some debate for a change? How about we demand answers from the club and put an end to all damaging speculation?

The best way to sort this out is do what I do. From next Sunday I will be going to 'New Thrum Hall' sorry, The Shay and going through the trunstyle and paying my money to watch my rugby league team. I will buy a program a pint or 2 a drink for my lad and may be a bit of food. I will chuck a couple of quid in the Fax Foundation Buckets as I always do. I will sit with my friends and family and away supporters and have good afternoon. When we win I will feel fantastic and hail Fax as the best team around. IF,IF we lose I will slag them off and say how rubbish we are. Then by next Tuesday I will be looking forward to our next game. Wheather the club is strapped for cash or not they will tell us in their own time not becasue a handfull of Fax supporters or supporters of another sport 'demand to know!'.

The article is simply what we already know, clearly the Bell end who obtained the letter simply passed it on to the Courier. There is simply nothing new there. The Courier deem it so important that it is simply hidden away on page five and covers simply two paragraphs.

Incidentally haven't the Luddites gone off thread on this topic, The Leigh topic and the Sky money topic.

No comment from Halifax RLFC why not? Don't care how this story about rent has come out - Fax can't bury their head in the sand ; it seems to indicate a lack of respect for the fans.

What we already know £65k in the hole that we know of! If it was baseless would it be in the press at all? I want the club to succeed but I don't want to be taken for a mug !
