I just think he needs another season in the Championship. He hasn't really stood out in comparison to Shad and Briggs, would hate to see him in the same situation Rikki Sheriffe was in at Quins the first time around. One more year for him to work on his defence and so on and he'll be reet.

Spot on with the Sheriffe parody, both exceptional athletes but need to learn there trade, we all want him to succeed, im sure Matt will be frank with him, and im sure he will sometimes think hes being held back, but if he has another good year with us, it may well be a top SL club thats in for him and not Salford. Its easy to sit and criticise from the comfort of my seat and looking at the pictures later. I am sure the adrenaline was pumping through Sams veins and he could see the line ahead. Fair play to him for having a go.

If he is wanting to leave that bad then let him go, If his heart aint in it then we might as well get some money for him. Although we do not know that this is the case and that salford are not just trying to get him moved up, the problem is once the seed is planted it will only grow and away he will go.

If Rob decides he wants to do the season with us then I will be extremely happy. If he decides he wants to try his luck in Superleague and the deal is worked out, then I will wish him well.

If you watch the video you can see all KR`s right side defence come across and force big Sam towards the touchline so a pass to Worrincy isnt on and a pass inside is a no no. It was impossible for our players to get in support of Sam because of the nature of the break though. He showed good composure though not trying to force something that wasnt on.

Not seen the video, so i'll take yours for that. Hindsight says it was probably the best decision then, and we did score on the next play.

Seriously tho I would like Rob to pick his moment as sometimes he doesn't do it when the situation is perfect for it ala Batley the other week when he was 2 on 1 in the centre slot and ran straight forward when if he'd crabbed he'd have had the space to 'show his class'. Having said that with the mountain to run up I can't say I'd have done it either. And yes, I've played RL.

I think he'll be with us, putting in another season that earns him a place in the championship team of the year. I don't think there's many, if any, other wingers in our league that, when he's firing on all cylinders, are as good as Rob.

WTF is going on here? Surely the club asked the player if he had been approached by Salford before complaining to the RFL? Are they going to be made to look disorganised and amateurish yet again with the club saying one thing and the player saying the opposite at a crucial time. This is starting to look as bad as Ostickgate.
