I have a newsfeed on my phone alerting new signings for Champs clubs and every time I look in hope and pffftttttt, nowt.

So boring Fax...

Unlike some on here I have no insider knowledge of possible transfer activity at the club - is the general consensus now that this is it?

We currently have a 23 man squad and surely can’t be relying on dr week in and week out . Grix said we’d done our recruitment early which we know was definitely the case with Douglas but Eden , Olly davies and obrien definitely weren’t, i would guess Connor davies was done a while back and not sure on the young lad Campbell . Obviously we didn’t expect walmsley and pickersgill to leave early in the season. Usually fax run with a 26 man squad but I haven’t heard a thing.

I will add and it is complete and utter speculation based on purely social media activity that dalton Desmond Walker has shown some interest in our activities online .

In finns interview about are DR agreement with Leeds he did say that he as deliberately not filled the squad out in his words. Because it is unfair to ask a player who as not played for a number of weeks to come into the side when there is injuries and do himself and the club justice. For me that is a very risky stand to make because if we have players who are injured or need dropping and Leeds do not help out we are left short.

Chris Hankinson released by Fev to take up an opportunity elsewhere. Was obviously on a lot of money there but you would like to think with us only having one centre at the club and a very small squad someone like that would be on our radar. Ellis Longstaff released as well as Fev continue to cut their cloth and we have the link with his dad but on his release it mentions him taking time out of the game.

Edit: Ignore - Hankinson off to Salford who we obviously can't compete with.

For Dual Reg with Leeds in 2023 we had
Luis Roberts
Leon Ruan
Corey Johnson
James Donaldson
Sam Walters
Liam Tindall

The top 3 didn't make a difference and resulted in Dunning losing his job as he relied on it instead of our own players.

Donaldson and Walters played 1 game for us
Tindall played majority for us as had already signed for Hull FC.

Walters and Donaldson's one game resulted directly in Bradford finishing above Fax in the final league table. Great for Bradford, or terrible for the integrity of the game? You chose.

We need 2 decent asap unless we have something with Leeds lined up

We lost to Batley, Keighley and Barrow all with Dual Reg from Leeds after the Fax game.We only had Tindall after the Barrow game and went on to finish 3rd showing much better form than with dual reg.

As much as i dislike DR one player i would back to put a shift in for us would be Donaldson.

I accept that and i do realise you probably hate dr as much as most people do. I'm just pointing out to folk who think it is just another daft rule the way it affects the game as a whole. It skews league tables and affects the integrity of the game. From a personal point of view that one game at The Shay put Fax out of the play-offs. It is a disgrace and makes our game a laughing stock.

Completely agree - not the biggest forward but he ran really hard in the game against the Bulls, certainly didn't look as though he was just going through the motions. I'd be surprised if he was a regular starter for Leeds - would be a useful addition on D/R or loan, although it's a position where we're already fairly well off.

Definitely the shirt!!

Shirt gets a thumbs up from me..I like it....wasn’t struck on the 1994 colourat first but it grew on me.

Personally prefer something more traditional, but if it helps the club shift a few more shirts by having a design that appeals to younger supporters good luck to them.

He is finally fulfilling the potential that he has always had and is up there in the top 2 or 3 fullbacks in the league. All that makes the decision to sign Brandon Pickersgill and only consider them both as FB only players even more bizarre. Personally feel we will see a more confident squad under Finn.

AOB & Joe Keyes named captains with Fairbank as vice. Not really a huge surprise after last season looking a little rudderless and with AOB expected to be on the pitch for most of the game. Opportunites could be limited for Moore but lets hope that we can see more of the player we saw before he got the captaincy.
