Anybody know why Scott Grix is not on any of the lists or on squad pictures on the clubs website?

Looks like only the players who have been announced as staying or new arrivals to the club exist on the lists and player profiles. I imagine he'll be announced at some point soon and his photo included.

I got all excited then and thought it might mean Woody getting a genuine shot at the FB shot. Seems like it should be his natural position but not to be. As it stands we look to have put together a pretty good team but the failure to bring in at least a couple of big props is going to be a worry.

Which makes the Paul Brearley situation even more puzzling.

Kevin laroya and Ed Barber latest to commit

Happy with this, Ed Barber in particular is a key player for us.

By my reckoning we don't have any more players to retain - certainly not established first team players that I can think of. The only forecast incoming player that I'm aware of is Liam Harris and while potentially that looks to give us a strong half back pairing we look very light in numbers and quality elsewhere particularly as there must now be a real chance that Brandon Moore will not be returning. While I understand the clubs rationale in drip feeding details of any signings and the uncertainty that Covid has caused it would be great to at least get some idea of where we're up to with extra signings even if the club don't want to release all the details yet.

You could be wrong about Brandon Moore. Huddersfield have just signed England Academy hooker George Roby from Warrington. They have also signed Another hooker, James Cunningham, from Toronto. Add Adam O'Brien to the mix and it would seem that they are pretty well covered.

If he goes then all the best to him, hopefully he will return and we will benefit from his experience, I thought he had a solid game last week.

if he does stay there it looks as if they have signed some hookers for us to use in return.

Paul Bearley still not mentioned in latest club update - as his rumoured move to Toronto presumably won't now happen would be very pleased if he was resigned for next season.

Harvey Livett released from HKR would be good here.

Doubt we could afford him but would definitely have Dan Murray- thought he looked very impressive - and committed when on loan here before. Will probably end up at Leigh who seem to be signing everyone who becomes available at the moment!

Murray and Springer together would be nice.

We have been crying out for some big mobile props since Mitch left. We have got rid of a lot of the old guard which had gone stale the last few seasons and put together the makings of a very good team with very little fan fair compared to other teams. Our starting line up looks very strong and I would love us to bring in a good full back just to give us that extra bit of quality. The only worry is that we pick injuries up and the rest of the squad feel to be only making the numbers up so if we could add a few more players as they get released by SL teams that would be great and gives us hope for the season.

That's about it

Woody will likely cover the 1 slot and will do okay if he does but the fullback ideally needs to be a specialist who knows the position inside out and that's already filled by Scott so can't see any addition there for another year.
6 is open apart from Woody again and although still unconfirmed I presume that is going to Liam Harris?
9 is a maybe, Brandon is a certain starter and it will depend on how confident Simon is on the Davies boys for that.
Front row, Gadwin dipped in form a bit after a fantastic start at Cas for some reason but if he can get back to his best of 2 or 3 years ago he will be the real deal, Elliot Morris, Sion Jones and Will Calcott will provide some young impetus and will be busting a gut to become permanent members of the 17 and if we can add at least one other big experienced mobile prop it would be a big step in the right direction.
It's not just about the starting 13 but also strength coming off the bench and as stated cover for injuries.
