Carlile was rumoured to be heading to Dewsbury, although to play for the other club based there. However, due to the on going Special Measures saga that's not going to happen imminently and presumably the player will be looking to get something concrete sorted soon.

The Davies boys shouldnt be anywhere near the 1st team for me. I'm sure they'll come good eventually but one is too small for the pack and the other simply isn't good enough at hooker.

Missing out on a big payday with the cup run, everyone expected much more than was actually paid out. Finishing outside top 5 meant even less.
Everyone has an opinion and is entitled to give it, I am sure S G would have liked more too in the piggy bank.. Give them a chance, last years squad were world beaters before a ball was played.

All very true but we are very unlikely to go with just one hooker so the question that still remains is.
Will the other 9 come from within or from outside and in both cases who will it be, someone’s got to play there.

I believe its the same situation with Joe Keyes in that he is under contract with his current club for next season but maybe seeking a move.

Keyes would be a welcome addition but don't think we have the resources to fund that.We tried to sign a Bradford player last week who turned us down to move to Doncaster for more money....that's the reality of where we are.

Winger Josh Rickett(think he scored 4 against us in a reserve match back end of last season) lives local too and we've tried to sign him before.
Doncaster must have a bob or too(Rangi Chase won't have been cheap).Maybe Bentleyman is helping them out from his meaty pension.....

SG commented that on some positions you may be able to play a utility type player but others you definitely needed a specialist and imho hooker is one of those spots.

So much comes from the play the ball, distribution and speed in and around the ruck.

There are other factors of course but just thinking about some of the players Fax have had in the recent past, when the 9 can play a bit then so can the team.

To put in to perspective, it is no surprise that Doncaster would offer more money than we did for what would likely be at very best a 3rd or 4th choice winger. I doubt we offered very much at all. Keyes on the other hand Im sure we would make a suitable offer based on his relative squad position. Like a lot of teams in for Bradford players we are still playing the wiaitng game for them to break players contracts.

Hope you're right all round,I do hope though that any player we sign is deemed better than what we currently have....

No Record of him playing for Donny in there Season stats unfortunately I would not be able to help them from my Service Pension for 22 loyal years maybe if I had been a highly paid accountant

or even an underpaid one like me.
