I think you're pretty far of the mark that he hasn't done anything for 3 seasons. He's an x factor player and can make things happen. Awesome feet for a big guy and is a standout player for the most part in this division. He put a massive shift in against Saints and stood up well. I don't think he's delivered much since coming back but I think he's an asset rather than a liability.

Good Post and couldn't agree more. It's no secret that the most successful teams over the last 20 years (Saints, Bulls, Wigan, Whinos) have a conveyor belt when it comes to talent but that has been years in the making. We need to avoid the DR BS and ise the club like Fev have done and the benevolent dictator at Leigh.

I think next year, hopefully we get Grady back and Sion Jones. Need a 1/2 props, an established centre (not a second rower masquerading as a centre like Barber), hooker and new half back.

There have been quite a few rumours of Grady going along with JWH. It is the silly season though.

When fully fit we have adequate props / forwards. Concerning the other positions, I've heard rumours of Nick Rawsthorne, Matty Wilde and Danny Brough.

Yes hope for Grady back and a fit again Jones ( i thought though he has just had another op. ) for me Jones has the potential and should have been given more opportunity game time when fit . Rawsthorne i can never understand how the entire coaching staff missed him yet hull watched him for 20 mins and made an offer. Wilde as he showed against us has good pace. Brough for me is probably way out of our price league and comes with his petulent downside as well as his skills.team player? I think he would spend more time in the sin bin than playing championship rugby. JWH and Barber for me could both play higher if we used and coached constantly on their bad bits keep both . JWH its just about attitude and focus .Barber is a good homest player 1 on 1 defending is the issue . Loads of skills and a good rugby brain . Love the 2 welsh boys for their fearless approach. Rawsthorne wasn't missed by the entire coaching team. But the man that mattered wouldn't listen to his coaching staff. He didn't used to like or let the reserves train with the first team until he was persuaded otherwise

Brough isnt the wakey half we are after........Rawsthorne I doubt we could afford and with SL interest its very unlikely. The hooker we are looking at isn't at Bradford although we have shown a keen interest in a couple of their players.

I think Reynolds will end up back at Leigh rather than join Fax GFB...

Ive never rated him so wouldn't be too disappointed. I think after today and most of the season it is clear we are crying out for a good full back for next year.

Let be honest we need a nasty off loading prop, a strike centre, a classy try scoring winger, a FB and a pair of quality halves. My fear is that we are some way off a competitive, challenging side and a huge rebuilding job needs doing with little money and a coach learning his trade.... Gladly Simon is a clever bloke who reads the game exceptionally well. He will know what we need but it's what he can actually get/attract.

Which makes even more of a mockery of the whole bring him home episode when we knew he was injured and would miss a few games. Still surpised though a super league are having a punt on him. Maybe full time will bring out the best in him who knows.

I do wonder if the club went to the bring him home brigade who helped raise money for it (which I applaud by the way they do a great job) and said well actually we need a centre, or a halfback can we raise money for that instead and were then told no we want Tangata back so will help fund that.

I'd be interested to know his stats as I don't see what all the fuss is about. Just don;t think he stands out to warrant the attention, unless I'm missing something hence the stats comment.

Despite his love for Fax, Tangata obviously thinks he can earn a full time crust. I thought he mixed it well with the big Toulouse pack and certainly has it in him to do well in SL. But he needs a clear run free from injury.

It must be remembered that our first choice 2nd row line up has been missing virtually all season - (Simon) Grix, Grady and Butler (whose return has seen dipped form due to his impending departure). A stinker that, eh?
