I simply do not fancy our chances with the present creative axis.....I think we will loose by 12

Mitch Clarke is a good addition if he plays like we know he can.

Can only assume so and bit disappointing that Kidd is deemed to be behind the likes of Calcott/Cooper and triple reg....

I thought Kidd was injured too? Pack looks the best one we have had at this level with still players to come back. As has been said I think it will be the halves and backs that will be our weak links this season.

It’s also good that we have a squad with some depth with a bit of quality with likes of Chapman-Smith, Grady, Kidd, Jones etc not even in the 19.
As you said before though G it’s how RM handles it as the wheel has gone full circle to when he first arrived, can he keep them all happy?
He will be a bit wiser so let’s hope so, just another sideline but important factor for us to keep an eye on.

Just listened to the pre Widnes RM interview again and he mentions Chester has a toe injury.

Just back. Whilst I didn't expect a result today I thought we would be closer. Creativity not the best and White needs to take them on more. I was surprised at some of our players lack of fitness. JWH spent half the game with his hands on his knees, he looked shattered, for a centre this should not be the case. Gave away too many penalties and some poor kicking, just looked rusty. Just not at the races today at all.

The Danny Craven show.... Another game where no creativity or real quality in the halves is tantamount to a team stuffing us... The league this year is IMO the toughest it's ever been and I realistically can't see us in the top 5

Widnes were playing last week our lads were allowed to go on the lash. Our pre-season has been a mess and we don't look ready for the season. Same moves from last season and very easy for them to shut down lets hope its the wake up call that some of the players need and at least its against a team where not many teams will go and win.

Too many of last seasons squad who weren't good enough were retained-said it at re-signing-definately including the 2 'assistant coaches'.

Very disappointed with the display - mainly caused by giving needless penalties away continually and being run ragged with a low completion rate. Marshall will have to stop the team self-destructing if he wants any success this year.

Early days yet.

Everyone in RL knows where our problems are but RM seems reluctant to sort it out. A forward dominasted game plan with grunt and no style. We really do need someone in to oversee recruitment and team direction, watch how york play,it comes from the top. Not giving up yet but deflated after yesterday.

Widnes aren't mugs and will be there and there about at the end of the season. We didn't play well. It is early days yet, lets' get behind the lads.

Didn’t manage to get there so can’t comment on the game as such but obviously disappointed by the result and amount of points conceded.

After a poor start and some dodgy calls against us we played well in second half of first half and were well in it at 16-10.Turning point was the penalty in front of posts a minute before halftime.Showed us a lack of respect by running it and scored when we took a pathetic dummy on 3rd tackle and were never in it after that.

Deja Vu all over again Same slow start Ill discipline we looked miles off the Pace in the 2nd Half well beaten.
Got back watched Vera with a large helping of Xmas Pudding & Custard
to cheer myself up Onwards & Upwards !!
